If ever a club needed a signing so badly then Mac Allister to LFC is the best example you could ever make an argument for. He is exactly what LFC need and for an initial £35M .WOW. LFC have done it again.

If the fee ends up being £55M which in itself is still a massive bargain for a player of this caliber, then LFC would have had a very successful time during his playing career at the club.

Make no bones about it, this is a massive signing, and for peanuts in todays climate.

good deal tbf

Looked v good for the Argies in the WC and for Brighton season just gone

24 yrs old, 5 yr contract for £35M.....seems a great deal in the current market

Smashing value, the player himself demanded a heaviliy bonus incentivised contract too which is huge but only if hes smashing it. He clearly wanted Liverpool as no doubt he could have gone to a number of CL clubs. This attitude and the clause the only reasons hes gone for a reasonable fee (in todays market).

Really enjoyed watching him play for Argentina and Brighton, a very exciting signing. Interested to see how we will use him, probably need some time as do most Klopp signings.

Seems a very decent price in this day and age? I had a read and apparently there was some sort of clause in the latest contract he signed but can't work out what it actually was (not a regular buyout apparently)

it'd an OK price but we need to get real calling it peanuts.

just because a certain club is driving the market mad does not change the fact that all but 3 clubs in England are businesses and must run as such within their real revenues.

35mil is a large sum of money out of most clubs revenues. especially paid up front.

if we all buy this rubbish about ever increasing fees then we can all expect to be priced out of tv or match going access l.

A grand was a lot for a player once upon a time.

In this extreme day and age, 35m for a player of this caliber and age from Brighton is "cheap" for lack of a better word.

I like Mac Allister gambetta dribbling style which is part of the argentine dna of football.

We really have lacked that creativity in midfield and relied too much on Trent and the front three. He is an all phase player which means he gives us qualities on and off the ball.

Yoy never know. We also may see the best if thiago now as we wo t have to play him every week when he is fit and then gets crooked.

Great signing. You got him for the same price that Arsenal paid for Fabio Viera
