I am no expert, but something ioag put me onto, absolutely changed my opinion of the Madrid state-run-govt.-funded-ultra-successful club named Real.
In our darkest hour, they reached out with some spectacular offers to help us. Worth researching if you donβt know. Took a Madridsta to educate me.
And, again, no expert, Iβm sure City helped us even more than Real Madrid ever could. Ground sharing, etc.
So yes, maybe a discussion about history is worthwhile, before we all support Inter Milan tomorrow.
Maybe.
Why City might deserve our support tomorrow

If City win tomorrow, would Manchester become the only City on earth to have two treble winning sports teams?

Since the forum was discussing brotherly love, had a question. If City and Utd were to hypothetically merge (in a parallel universe maybe), will the new Manchester team have the combined titles/trophies/bragging rights of both City/Utd?

City charged United a healthy flat fee. Plus a percentage of the (substantial) gate receipts that the country's best supported team, generated for each home game they played at Maine Road. Although City had to make alternative arrangements for their reserve team to play elsewhere. Yes, it was a good neighbourly Mancunian gesture by City to share their ground after the war bombed out United from Old Trafford, they were rewarded handsomely.

Helped you out with the dissolution of Manchester Central when you were slugging it out in Division 2 also π
If the best you can do is 5hit in your hands and clap, just make sure you do it when we score!

I’ve definitely got a Villarreal shirt from a couple of years back so can’t say I blame you π

Thought you’d have a few City mates, Whiteside?

We have indeed helped you out over the years, seeing off Manchester Central being another example. As a thank you I’m sure we can count on your support tomorrow to help boost the domestic viewing figures from the 6 or 7 of us π

I can boost the national viewing figures while wearing blue and black stripes.

Lets hope Man City fans have nightmares tonight.π Only feels like yesterday when Van Der Sar saved that penalty in 2008.π

Man City got battered like we battered them in the FA Cup and they got a jammy win. Feel for Inter. They should have scored 4 or 5.
