Can be summed up in two words : Manchester City.

The idea of supporting the 'English' club over the foreign club has got more skewed in recent decades when you see how much these English clubs depend on foreign individuals for success. Take Man City, only as good as they are thanks to Pep, KDB and Haaland anyway.

Yeah, I want Inter to win.
It is all a bit pointless now nation states are involved
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah, because Real were never supported by the Spanish state were they?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Actually no they were not supported by the state, however as they are a non profit organisation they have received significant funding from the Community of Madrid which governs Madrid City.
This funding included selling their training ground to the Community of Madrid for £500million and then rezoning the land, meaning they paid no capital gains tax on the money received🤔

They were supported by the state, especially in Franco's time. Taxes were waived regularly and on at least one occasion prior to a Copa Del Rey final when Real were due to play Barca, the Barca dressing room had a visit from a Franco Aide in the military reminding the Barca team how lucky they were to be able to play football and not conscripted into the army, and how much Franco enjoyed watching Real win.

Remind me to look up the nationality of Stones, Walker, Grealish and Foden. While I am at it I will check the nationality of the Academy products like Palmer and Lewis etc.

Says a fan of the club where managers have been Australian, Italian, Argentine and Portuguese in recent years and who put out a team where Kane and Dier (yikes) are the English contingent many weeks.

Teams like Chelsea and nan city never really bother me to be honest. We all know they had a financial advantage over everyone else, so I don’t really see their achievements as good as those that real clubs have done.
Neither club won much in years before they got a sugar daddy who outspent everyone else. So they only won stuff because of their sugar daddy.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
😂
You couldn’t live with us long before the money turned up so who gives a fack what you think. Don’t make me have to trot out the stats about you lot against us in the years pre-Abramovich because if I have to it will be embarrassing for you. Once Mr A rocked up the gap was even wider.

Dark days when Inter are the ones considered to be saving football, with diving and persistently leaving one on our players.

Those are not their best players, let's be honest. They are nowhere near as important as the people I mentioned.
Also I'm not being hypocritical, I don't like ourselves having an over reliance on foreign talent and have said it myself. Although if you're going to list the most important individuals at our club the top one is at least an Englishman.
