Ornstein reporting a deal has been agreed. For me this is as important as any player we bring in over the summer. He's proven he's a top defender last season and he's only 21. Major talent that can help us going forward. In the wider context getting all our top young talent on new deals is a massive step forward. Odegaard is still to sign but that seems like something that will definately happen. We are going to see the continued development of Saka, Martinelli, Saliba and Odegaard over the coming years which is going to be very exciting.

I don't think Arsenal were ever going to allow him to go. I suspect the hold up was to make sure the agreement was going to mitigate against any risk of his back injury.

Agree but also more than that, given the level of interest from other clubs it shows that things at Arsenal are working well from the top to the bottom right now and our top players have faith in it.
