Qatar

If they win, think of all the excited young Qatari children that support Man United.

Great opportunity for them.

And we might get Mbappe

Sports ruined already by these guys but really though, I rather they take us over than go to take over Liverpool, who’s next in line for a sale.

A new era of meaningless and pointless greatness that everybody will ridicule and despise is coming

Yup, if they come in and spend millions and millions buying players and it makes us the best team in the world it will be hollow and worthless victories. No one will take it seriously, and it will just further kick football into the cesspit money has turned it into.

It depends how the club is run really, doesn't it?

We've spent more servicing our debt since Fergie left than we have on players.

Now imagine we suddenly become debt free and use our own money to improve the clubs facilities, infostructure and recruitment.

We can compete with our own money, if we aren't spending hundreds of millions on interest payments.

That is what I really want. I wouldn't feel too bad if the new owners wiped out the debt and invested some money into new facilities. As that would make up for what we have lost in servicing the debt. But really I just want us to be run as a self sufficient business.

Agreed. If that is the case, I couldn't care less who owns us. The reality of the situation is, the club is and will continue to be hamstrung by the Glazers, Ratcliffe I'd imagine would run us in a similar way.

I also don't want somebody to come in and treat us like PSG, buying star names or making up fake sponsors like City.

Make us a football club again, not a business, and I'll be happy. Ultimately, we probably aren't going to find somebody able to spend £5bn on a club to do that.

Bit unfair on Ratcliffe. He might be passionate about bringing on pitch success unlike the Americans. There's nothing to suggest he'd run the club like the Glazers IMO. He might run it like FSG which would eventually bring success that is activities earned and worthy to be proud of.

That’s impossible now. It’s the greed of clubs in the PL that’s led to this, top level clubs ceased to be ‘football clubs’ and primarily commercial entities. Reap what you sow.

Maybe it won’t be as hollow as you think Baz, as we’ll be competing with Newcastle and City, who are also on steroids.
