To me the away fans thing has tainted the spectacle beyond repair.

Both clubs hanging onto the belief that they’re doing the right thing and self delusion setting in that any ridiculous rationale is brought in to justify it when it’s as plain as the nose on Pinocchio’s face that it was because of the serial thrashing being meted out at Ibrox with the very likelihood of the ancient 7-1 score line being bettered.

Really gone past the point of caring now to be honest and I don’t see anything other than a league intervention to demand a certain percentage is handed over to away fans.

Others have been joining in with upping and lowering the away allocations depending upon what side of the bed they got out of.

Mental state of affairs and why the league don’t step in is beyond me.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I hope you're trolling and don't really believe that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Damned right I believe it. There were plenty of voices raised on this very subject by bears at the AGM that they were sick of watching us celebrate in our thousands behind the goal when you were in turmoil.

This isn't the argument though. It's the fact it's still and issue and that our two top clubs couldn't agree on the colour of sheite and grow the fwck up.

And now other clubs are at it as and when it suits them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

A few Bears moaning at the AGM?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yes. The ones who voted and forced the change.

Decent start for us, but late November through to new year is pretty brutal for us

We have Aberdeen, Hearts, Hibs, Motherwell and Celtic, all away from home, in the space of that month or so
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Just been looking ahead. In Feb we have 3 of them away and earlier around November we have a double Edinburgh away fixtures
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Double derby - is that no when we normally win the league?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Not sure the Bears can have any complaints about the league fixtures this year … just been informed they have Celtic, Aberdeen, Hearts and Hibs ALL at home TWICE before the split, so that’s at least 1, possibly 2, of the Dons + Edin teams they’ll likely only have to visit once.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Was likely the reverse last season

Aye, we didn’t have to go to Pittodrie last game of the season (they came to CP 3 times) … big advantage, given the league was done weeks earlier. Nice for the ‘Gers to have a sporting advantage pretty much baked in before a baw’s kicked, thanks to the one glaring flaw in the split system.

"big advantage, given the league was done weeks earlier."

Don't see how that matters

League could be tied up before the split this season

Stevie … We went to Tynie & Easter Rd twice last season, and avoided a 2nd trip to Pittodrie on the final game which was absolutely irrelevant. Only pointing out the potential for you guys to be quids in this season, as we could be in the future, due to the one glaring flaw in the split system. Disagree with any of that?

No I don't agree with that at all

Your point was that we will play ALL of Celtic, Hearts, Hibs and Aberdeen at home TWICE before the split, so might only have 1 away game against one, or possibly two of those sides, as if it's some sort of sporting advantage.

Last season, Celtic played ALL of Rangers, Hearts, Hibs and Aberdeen TWICE at home before the split, which meant they only had to play Aberdeen away once.....a game which may have been relevant if the league hadn't been sewn up, but that doesn't seem to matter to you when you are talking about it in the context of this season coming

On top of that, with some help thanks to the World Cup break, Celtic's away games against these sides before the split last season, came over a period of 2 months (from the end of October through to the start of January)

This season coming, Rangers away games against all four of these sides before the split, will all be played within the space of 35 days over the hectic Xmas and new year period

That's a difficult run, but I am notoanong about it, because we have to play these sides away at some point, especially if we arre playing them at home twice before the split, so we can have that "baked in sporting advantage"

Stevie … OK, I’ll rephrase it.

We could have had an advantage last season. As it turned out it didn’t matter as we’d wrapped up the league early. Rangers could have an advantage post-split this time, IF the league’s tight. All I’m saying. The system is the problem at the end of the day.

Baws that's all you were saying

Might be all you are saying now coz you've been called out, certainly wasn't what you were saying earlier

You've went from saying Rangers have a "baked in" fixtures advantage this season...to saying "aye well, they might have one this season"...bit of a change like

Total piiish this.

We all (almost) play the same teams home and away during the season meaning a tough run or an easy run depending on how you view it.

In reality both teams should be beating all the rest and that gap gets wider every year
