We have so many full backs that Ange can’t fail to find a couple he likes in there.

BUT, BUT, BUT, the centre of that defence is relegation material, 4th placed Everton conceded fewer than we did. It will drag us down (not relegated) unless we address it properly, that’s why I can’t get optimistic about the new season yet. Dier, Tanganga, Rodon, Sanchez - not good enough. Romero is good enough but needs to cut down the reds and yellows and start giving much more of a faaaack about playing for us. Then we need a minimum of 2 players in - Guehi is the one I really want as he is Prem proven, but we’re probably being quoted £60m ish and won’t lay that.

Adoriboiyo is decent, so would be happy if those rumours are true. Tapsoba seems to be the number 1 target, I’ve never knowingly watched him play so no idea, hopefully he is up to the task.

It still feels wrong calling the spending of £30-50 million as a bargain

Don, I am a very fair supporter, and say it as I see it. I think both Spurs and Liverpool have got bargains this window, whereas Arsenal have had their pants royally pulled down over Rice and Havertz.

Liverpool however had their pants pulled down over Nunez.
