Shown the door.
Ortas mate who's never played football.
First bit of good news. Maybe if we keep Meslier he can actually progress now?

We'll have to agree to disagree on Meslier, then, Elsbels, and also on whether offloading Casilla was "irresponsible." I can live with that and I'm sure you can.

He’s been let down by being coached by somebody not really qualified to be in that position (apparently), and not getting an experienced keeper for him to understudy for a year or two. He hasn’t progressed in 2 years and looks like he’s got some form of goalkeeping PTSD.

Yep, I’d have had no problem if Abad had been part of the goalkeepers coaching support team, perhaps as an analyst, but he should never have been leading that team without any professional playing experience whatsoever.

Els, I was happy when Kiko went, he cost us as many if not more then Meslier did, and was well over paid!..
Meslier came in and at the time did a good job, first season back in Premier league 9th spot, 2nd season back full stop!..
You cant be saying that our back line was so bad because off Meslier, because if you are I'll say it was because off the whole team and not just Meslier!..
Clemence would have had a problem with our team in front off him the last 2 seasons!..
And yes, you ain't the only one that remembers Clemence, and Shilton and a few others around that time!..

Germany, talk about rewriting history, for the bulk of our promotion season Kiko was between the posts, a season in which we only conceded 35 goals.
The point though was that the club moved Kiko out on loan with no real cover for Meslier which was irresponsible, a huge gamble. regardless of how well Meslier did.

Mes has said he won't move to sit on the bench.
I doubt any top flight team would take him on as a first choice based on last year.
Therefore his best option is to stay and recapture the form he showed when he initially became our number 1

He'll be sat on ours if he doesn't move.

I fundamentally don't agree Jaz, awful keeper whose frailties caused no end of panic amongst those in front of him. Cooper, Wober, Koch etc international defenders all terrified of making a mistake.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I see it the other way round. The players in front of him have been dire (even Wober towards the end).
Any keeper would struggle with that lot in front of him. His head must have been all over the place and his eyes on swivels.

Didn't Meslier have glandular fever early in the season? That would certainly affect his ability to do the job for a lengthy period of time.
Farke and the 49'ers mark a fresh start for everyone. We remember how Meslier played after Casilla was removed and also, in our first season in the Premier league, keeping the most clean sheets of any young keeper.
He's had a bad season. We can give him away for nothing right now, or we can say to him, 'This is a great chance to put the past behind you. Stick with us, and show the fans how good you really are.'

I really dont get this view.
He’s a keeper, who job it is, to save shots, catch crosses and be able to pass it out.
Its not like we was getting battered every week, he just kept chucking them in.
Having a good defence, means it easier for the keeper, having a bad one just means the keeper is busier ( was he that busy, REALLY
