Willy.

I dont know what it is, I just dont get his story and what his near future is going to be.

Leaves Italy(massive club in Inter) at 16 to backwaters of Switzerland. STRANGE move.

Signs for Leeds in last few days of Transfer window, for peanuts, after we missed out another target.

Regular in Italy squad at 18.

After being eased in, Starts really well, some great goals, talk of the town. Gary Neville wa@king himself silly on TV over him.

Injured and disappointing end to season but so did them all.

Now being linked to small clubs in Italy, Everton ( That would be a disasterous move for him, completely wrong club for him) and Villa.

And for less than £20m, I know its all papertalk and probably made up garbage.

But what am I missing ?

Whether you rate him or not, Transfer arent based on stats, but sentiment.

Less than £20m for a player, on long contract, only 19, italian international, and played in prem, high profile.

Compared to a Lavia, £50m for a defensive midfielder, same age, one season in prem 🤷🏻‍♂️

Cant work out, the missing jigsaw

Surely you search out for good players 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yep and the majority of them are taller, it's rare that a short player makes it.

But surely your going to get less, because they are below average for the general population.

Same way you dont get many 6 foot 5 players

Cruyff was 5’ 10”

Saka is not tall by any means. Neither Sterling. Both England regulars.

In certain roles height is not all that important

Centre Backs:

Fabio Cannavaro
Captained Italy's 2006 World Cup win.
Considered one of the best defenders
off all-time.
5' 9"

Lisandro Martínez
In Argentina's 2022 World Cup First Team.
Excellent defender despite his club.
5' 9"

I find this height debate pretty interesting.

(Arguably) The top 20 all-time greats:

Eusebio 5' 9"
George Best 5' 9"
Bobby Moore 6' 0"
Marco van Basten 6' 2"
Lev Yashin 6' 2" (Goalkeeper)
Cristiano Ronaldo 6' 2"
Cafu 5' 9"
Zico 5' 8"
Gerd Muller 5' 9"
Garrincha 5' 7"
Michel Platini 5' 10"
Paolo Maldini 6' 1"
Zinedine Zidane 6' 1"
Franz Beckenbauer 5' 11"
Ferenc Puskás 5' 8"
Alfredo Di Stéfano 5' 10"
Johan Cruyff 5' 10"
Lionel Messi 5' 7" (Being generous there)
Diego Maradona 5' 5"
Pelé 5' 8"

Tallest is Yashin, a goalkeeper.

Might be missing something but I don't see Marcus Antonsson anywhere on this list. Could you double check?

Always been a fan of the little and large combo. Chapman and Wallace era

Im 5"10 by the way always thought that was normal height. Neither tall or short.

Rod Wallace, Billy Bremner - Maradona, Pele & Messi .... all of them shorter than me, so pretty short.

All rarities I guess .......
