There are plenty of games to enjoy in PSVR2. But there are some games that deserve a special mention. Synapse is one such game. entering into the mind of a certain Colonel Conrad. you are thrown into the dark world it has been captured in.
This is a shooter but unlike any you have played before. Imagine John Wick with god like powers and you start to get an Idea of what awaits. The graphics are black and white adding to the foreboding feeling of the game, but enhanced with splashes of colour as you dispatch enemies explode barrels or use your powers.
I have not played too much of the game as it only came out Tuesday, But works so well in VR. Moving barrels with a swish of your hand then crushing them making them explode over an enemy is extremely satisfying, and would make any Jedi night envious of your powers.
I have literally scratched the surface of this game, and the upgrade paths seem almost endless in it's possibilities.
There is a learning curve as you learn to master the best use of you powers. Simple things like holding a block up in front of you to block enemy shots as you charge towards them, or flinging the block towards them or bouncing a block up and down on their flayling bodies.
of course there is much more to it than that. So if the game sounds interesting to you follow the link.

Ah just looking at the second vid i can see the aim controller is not necessarry. Do all PSVR2 sets come with these controllers? This does look fun once the little one has gone to bed

Yes the PSVR2 comes with two controllers, and they work very well. As for the aim controller I was playing After the Fall in PSVR2, and one of my team mates was using the aim controller.
So I guess yes it is compatible.

When I say the Aim controller is compatible. I mean with PSVR2. Not this game specifically.

Just picked up my ps5 yesterday and played walk about golf for HOURS, chatting to folks all over the world. Amazing
Have downloaded pavlova and booted it up for a brief moment before bed but it wasn't overly convincing from the few minutes I tried it out for
Will give it a proper try tonight after putting in some effort with the controls and movements etc
I've seen other games but there doeant appear to be that many AAA games out there.
Are there any major titles that are must haves? Anything decent on its way out?
------------------------------------------------------------------------
My go to game, and the one I have played the hell out of is After the Fall. It has a great community, and keeps me coming back. Walk about Golf is another great title which you already know about. I nearly did a review. The only reason I didn't was because it is an older game. But still a lot of fun.
It all depends on what you enjoy. No Mans Sky is a fun experience but you have to commit a lot of time to it, of course Gran Turismo if you enjoy racing. Beat Sabre is a VR classic, and as much as I bought it for the kids I have been playing it a lot more than I expected.
Games are all very personal, So it is hard to reccomend any one game, It is down to personal preference

Oh I should have mentioned Resident Evil. If you enjoy Horror, it is a must play.
Don't forget you can also download free demo's of games if you want to give them a try before committing.

Yeah flat gaming for me is pretty boring now. VR has made it new and exciting again. So has definitely given gaming a new lease of life.
I too am wondering about the Quest 3. But having PSVR2, the Quest 3 would just be an indulgence, so probably not worth it. But I'll see when it comes out.
