Likely it's a very small minority of protesters who actually have refugee status and, as stated, you can't say the Muslims don't take them in when they're doing it in higher numbers than Britain or France.

Do these countries have a choice though? Can they refuse asylum?

You mean no regard for the banks profits.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Banks have profited off low interest rates for years as have estate agents, landlords, property investors etc.
Houses aren't going to get built when you can just sit on some land and it goes up 10% year on year.
Were you complaining about that, or is it just when your house price starts falling that you start complaining about bank profits?
What do you want terminator, ridiculously low interest rates and house prices going up 10% every year so that you get paper wealthier while 20 and 30 somethings can't buy houses and start families?
High interest rates will solve this countries housing problems they need to go to 10-15% then revert back to the mean of 5-6%.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I’m not remotely interested in my house price, I’ve no intention of moving. All I want is a consistent, affordable interest rate, simple as that.
If you want interest rates to go up to 15% then I can only assume you have no mortgage and decent savings. No one else in their right mind would want this otherwise.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
A consistent affordable interest rate is 5-6% historically.
I do have no mortgage and decent savings but at this point in time my own personal position isn't that relevant given that I'm financially well off whatever happens to interest rates. If anything it makes me objective about what needs to happen. I don't see why young people should have to suffer just so people who have taken out loans they can't afford shouldn't.
The reason 10-15% interest rates need to happen is that's the only way a national house building program will take place, check out examples of early 20th century austria as to why this is the case.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So the high interest rates won’t affect you then. Your opinion is completely self serving and worthless.

We both know they can't, so quit with the championing of these countries for doing what they are legally obliged to.

I don't know what you know, because you're more intent on antagonising people than actually conversing discussing like a grown up. You're a complete and utter ɑrsehole and I don't have any interest whatsoever in playing your stupid teenage dumbfᴜck games. So just fᴜck off.

Low interest rates made me 7 figures in house price gains they were not taxed either.
So I'm not sure what your opinion is worth.

Wage growth was 7.3% so there will be another 0.5% increase in August Terminator. Enjoy.

I'm honestly loving people like you whining about interest rates when they're not even high yet.
People like you didn't care about ridiculous house price inflation and people getting priced out because you owned a house and it suited you.
You've been quiet about this ponzi scheme for a decade and now you're complaining about the 'evil powers that be' when it falls apart because they don't have any ability to prop it up to keep your nest feathered anymore.
Interest rates can go up, house prices can go down, and nobody owes you or anyone else any help. If you took out a big mortgage that's on you, nobody put a gun to your head and made you do it.
You're the one that's self serving.
