Players leaving, manager coming in, new sponsors announced, can only think there is still a quiet period covering the takeover (normal practice), but then that surely means it is not complete?
Just bizarre that there is nothing from 49ers, doesnt have to shed light on confidential details but some sort of communication to fans of the club you now supposedly own is not unreasonable to expect.
Silence is deafening

But the club majority owner is still Radz?
Feel 49er's still need to tread carefully with EFL until given green light.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't believe it is, it's just that EFL haven't approved their right to play in the league, as far as I'm aware the EFL have no legal ability to prevent anyone buying a club, just whether they find that person(s) acceptable to allow into their competition.

No real idea how these things work but if it was me (dream on!), I'd have insisted that a legal caveat be inserted covering the slim possibility that where the EFL refuses the green light, the full sale is affected. Avoids a complete disaster.

Phil Hay mentioned that the EFL has a queue of clubs with new owners to be approved.
Combine that with the fact that the 49ers is a consortium of quite a lot of investors and all of them will need to be checked-out by the EFL individually, I wouldn't be surprised if we're still waiting on word about ownership by Christmas...

Are we not allowed to sign anyone until the EFL give the green light? What happens if they take months to do it?
Surely there must be some rule which states they have to do it before the season starts? I’m totally confused.com! Only Leeds could manage a relegation and takeover at the same time!

You would think wouldn't you....but this is from the owners that tell us they have plans in place for whether they say up or go down!

Maid, I wonder whether the lack of signings is partly because we were waiting for DF to come on board, partly because 10 or so players were not due back from international duties until today and only then could face to face conversations take place about players future plans and finally we have the man utd game in a couple of days time which will give the first real indication of strengths and weakness.

I hope you are right, Elsbels, or we are definitely up the creek without a paddle!

I'd imagine that the 49ers could get Radz to sign-off any new players they want to buy prior to taking ownership?
One thing I'm a bit puzzled about is (given that the 49ers already own 45% of the club) why they have to go through the full EFL process just because they want the other 55%.

You'd have to look into detail, but when last in EFL maybe thresholds weren't met, maybe its different people now, the rules are quite comprehensive about this and they're there to prevent bad owners getting in, clubs being mismanaged and fans being screwed, I really dont have a problem with it.
But with an ever growing number of people involved with 49ers, there is a lot for them to do here:
3 ACQUIRING OF CONTROL
3.1 If any Person proposes to acquire Control of a Club:
3.1.1 the Club and/or the Person shall, as far in advance of the acquisition of Control as reasonably possible and in any event no later than 10 Normal Working Days prior to the date on which it is anticipated that such acquisition of Control will take place:
(a) submit to the League a duly completed Declaration in respect of each Person who will become a Relevant person upon the proposed acquisition of Control; and
(b) submit to the League up to date Future Financial Information (as defined in Regulation 16) prepared to take into account the consequences of the change of Control on the Club’s future financial position; and
3.1.2 the League shall have the power to require the Club and/or the Person who proposes to acquire Control to appear before it and to provide evidence of the ultimate source and sufficiency of any funds which that Person proposes to utilise to acquire Control and/or invest in or otherwise make available to the Club.
3.2 In relation to any proposed acquisition of Control of a Club by a Person, The League shall have:
3.2.1 the powers set out in Regulation 16.20; and/or
3.2.2 the ability to impose such other conditions,
as in each case it may determine, in order to monitor and/or ensure compliance with Regulations 16 to 19, 21, 22 (including Appendix 3) and 105 to 114 inclusive (and their successor or replacement provisions).
3.3 No Person may acquire Control of a Club and no Club may permit a Person to acquire Control of it until such time as:
3.3.1 The League provides confirmation that all Persons that are required to do so have complied with the process set out in Rule 3.1.1(a) and no such Persons are liable to be disqualified as a Relevant Person;
3.3.2 The League provides confirmation of its satisfaction with the information provided pursuant to Rule 3.1.1 (b); and
3.3.3 The Club and any Person proposing to acquire Control have acceded to any powers and/or accepted any conditions imposed pursuant to Rule 3.2.
3.4 No later than 28 days after any acquisition of Control of a Club, any new Relevant Persons of the Club will attend an induction meeting with The League.

Being a Leeds fan I can fully appreciate how well we can muck things up, we were late with a submission, we didnt realise a jail term in US was same as in UK etc etc, if there's a way for us to make it hard for ourselves and blame someone else, as a club, we'll find it:

Sunderland took two months and looked a lot less complicated. Maybe it wasn’t?
