Its always going to be X amount of time until the first game. Broadly irrelevant. Business has been slow in the championship so far.

Obviously we need to have seen some action by next week's end, but right now I'm not too concerned. Signing players in the position we are in is difficult and takes time.

As for the takeover, being concerned about that is especially pointless. On the EFL, and confirmation could be months. Might be well into the season by the time it gets made official.

I don’t think it’s irrelevant that we’ve got 3 and 1/2 weeks to build a first team squad. If in addition, we can’t get new players in because of the takeover situation, then things become very serious. Anyway, I’m already expecting a slow start from us and I wouldn’t be too surprised, or fussed tbh, if we take next season to settle the squad down, get the ownership situation behind us, and get ready for a promotion push the following season.

I saw the game here and before I thought with the players traveling we're in for a right hammering!..

It didn't happen!..

Thinking back to Australia and a friendly we played there, were we not with better players at that game, Bielsa, a fitter squad, and a hammering!..

Most off the players today were kids, and they played a team that have in their youths players that'd walk into our team, I don't think we did as bad as most people in white shirts thought we would!..

And that includes people in the stadium!..

We have to see how the players cope with their next game with a little more practice in Farke ball!..

On the bright side: Rutter looks like he will hurt teams
in the championship. If we keep Sin, same for him.
Gyabi looks a proper talent.

Squad is woefully thin. Bamford's still useless. Has no
first touch at all and the fight of a paper doily.

For me, the excitement is in seeing Archie Gray turning
into an absolute beast. Still only 17. Holy hell. He's
still growing into that frame. Already looks to be one
of our best prospects in years. Enjoy him while he's
wearing our shirt.

Because if we don't go back up, he'll be in the Prem
with one of the big boys. Future England star.

Absolutely agree that’s what we need, but I just can’t see it happening I’m afraid (I think I’m also worn down a bit with all the mess Radz et al left us).

Need midfielders. We look really weak there

If we can keep Gnonto, Sini and Harrison we've done well

Rutter was a real positive in that first half. Felt for him last season.
