Two savvy, determined owners
delivering season on season.
New shirt sponsor: United (Airlines)
IT + Sleeve Sponsor: HP
New stand being built. No fcking around.
Global profile gone from near zero to
massive in two plus seasons.
It can be done. If you know what
the fck you're doing. And they did it
with Shaun Fcking Harvey.
Will they get to the Prem before us?
Possible.
Wrexham vs Leeds

How many years have our rivals looked down upon us because we haven't "won as many trophies", have been a long time in the lower leagues, been through club threatening financial problems etc.
It's "lovely" to see that some on here seem to have the same attitude towards a lower league team who are enjoying a little bit of time in the spotlight and enjoying some moderate success.
Just saying...

Assume this is being directed at me, but not really sure why. I'm not looking down on Wrexham, or disparaging their accomplishment this season.
There is an unquestionable discrepancy in the size and situation of the two clubs, though.

Really?
Third oldest professional football club in the world.
Formed in 1864.
Has been an important part of Wales international
program, hosting numerous international games.
Was a successful club.
One club city.
Passionate fan base. Growing larger by the day.
Fell into the hands of chancers.
Crashed out of the league.
Mismanaged.
Still an important part of Welsh football.
Bought by two visionary owners.
Leeds United share a few similarities there.
And if you don't like the thread, don't contribute to it.

Wasn't aimed at you in particular Lubo.
Just some of the comments on here were reminiscent of how we are barracked by some of the fans of the "bigger clubs" and that got my goat having seen first-hand what a positive difference there's been in Wrexham (both the FC and the city) since the Hollywood takeover.
Leeds fans ought to be more understanding of other clubs which have gone through dark times and not begrudge them their successes. They certainly shouldn't sound-off about little clubs not having a history when they've been around for longer than our club!

Yes, and like I said, any two clubs can have connections drawn if you spend enough time looking for them. The reality is that the scale of Wrexham and Leeds is completely disproportionate, and not remotely worth paralleling.
The reason that Wrexham are able to attract the sponsors they do is because they are a non-league team thrust into media attention. Its a novelty story. I'm sure Ryan and Rob do great things for the 'city', but the scales are just completely different.

There is some serious sponsorship behind Wrexham, such as Netflix and TickTock. They are the new darlings of the American public, who love nothing more than the success of the underdog. They are primed for success. Also they have plenty of character in the team and are great fun to watch. Who cares how long it lasts? It’s where they are right now that matters. And we could be playing them next season.

Luton were non league a decade ago, now they're above us. If we don't pull our fingers out Wrexham could do the same

Forgot how many gloom mongers this place has. Jesus christ.

That's the problem though, you talk parallels.
I'm talking about wakening a sleeping giant. Wrexham
have a storied history in Welsh football. They have been
awakened by the R&R duo. And now they're putting
every bit of savvy they have behind that. And it's going
great guns.
How often have Leeds United fans coined the phrase
"when will X or Y or Z come along and awaken this
sleeping giant of a club"? Countless.
If we had half the endeavour and nous behind us
that Wrexham have, we'd be flying. And not in the
bloody Championship once again. Everything's in
place for LUFC to be a massive club. But, despite
all the talking and wanting and disbelief from our
fans, it still hasn't happened. But, it could.
Wrexham are proving it can be done.

Hopefully you will be playing them in league 2 soon
A load of hype with Wrexham...they won't even get out of league 2...Bradford City can't either
