Anyone else think we get Kane this Summer?
I know. Funds are tight, Bayern have bid twice, Levy won't sell to the Prem, but something tells me we intend to hijack any deal once Bayern agree a fee.
The fact Bayern are bidding suggests Kane wants out of Spurs, but surely his preference would be to stay in England and go for the goalscoring record AND trophies?
Chelsea aren't shy at spending, and offer him the oppurtunity to reunite with Poch, go for the record, not to mention big wages.

United do not offer a genuine shot at major trophies, you’ve not sniffed a title since Fergie left and you’ve done nowt in the CL - since Fergie went, Spurs have gotten closer to those two trophies than United have.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And then OP proceeds to say United are not Spurs rival
They have been playing for CL places with us for years but hey....Utd are not our rivals!
If Spurs do well, Utd tend to drop out of CL, thank 2 seasons ago
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The OP is deluded, absolutely no one else is tipping Kane to go to United because they know he wants trophies.
United offer a better chance than us, but then who doesn’t. There’s only one club in Manchester that Kne would be interested in but OP won’t listen
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If he options are Spurs or Bayern, do you really believe he wouldn't even CONSIDER a huge offer from Man Utd?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He wouldn't, no.
Not this current Utd. Maybe SAF one of 1999 (time travelling!)
Utd are hardly any better than Spurs. The one thing is Utd do spend more than Spurs could ever under Levy.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
United with Kane would be loads better than a Spurs with Richarlison up top
----------------------------------------------------------------------
debatable
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nonsense.

He apparently gets on well with Tuchel and is in contact with him.
No I don’t think he would waste what is likely to be his last chance of landing major trophies at United when Bayern are on the table. It’s not a measure of United historically, just where you sit at the moment. You have craaaap owners, the bidding process shows no end of stopping, your squad is good, but not a patch on City’s, your manager is good, but not a patch on Guardiola.
I honestly think the only 2 clubs in England he would consider are City and Liverpool as they have the best chance of winning trophies - City are essentially guaranteed to win something every season.
Kane knows he could go to Bayern, win the lot, and move back to the Prem in 3 years and wrap up the goal scoring record. Retire incredibly rich with legendary status whilst also still being adored at Spurs
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why would the owners / takeover concern a player?
Our squad would be elevated a level with thr addition of Kane,.and why compared with Cty? They don't want Kane.
As for Liverpool, we have finished above them 4 seasons out of Klopps 8 I believe.
Yes, he could win a few titles at Bayern, but they are on a par with Scottish, French and Dutch league titles.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
4 times out of 8 - utterly useless stat, Liverpool have won the league and the CL in that time. Spurs have finished above United on multiple occasions in that time period and made a CL final - what was the last CL final United made? About 15 years ago wasn’t it?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Useless stat, and yet you use Spurs finishing above us to argue United would be a sideways move 😄
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I’ve not said that, I said United represent a better trophy chance for Kane, but it’s like saying Curly Watts has a better chance with Margot Robbie than the Elephant man does. Bayern are Ryan Gosling, it’s a sure thing, at best United are Al Pacino or Robert de Niro these days - a class act, but much better 20/25 years ago
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You did.
You said Liverpool were a better option despite the fact we just finished above them without a CF and with lots of drama.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah Liverpool are much more desirable - they’ve won major trophies win the last decade, something United have failed to do.
1 poor season, the year prior they lost the league title with about 20 mins of the season to go, made the CL final and won both domestic trophies - when was the last time United got close to a whiff of that.
Honestly I like United generally, always backed them in Europe back in the 90’s when Spurs were a million miles off that level. But please, age gracefully - you ain’t Rob Deniro in Heat, you aren’t even Rob Deniro meet the parents - you are Rob Deniro meet the Fockers these days

A JA606 team with Sandy up top would be better than Spurs with Richarlison up top.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I have my reservations, no offence Sandy
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Does Sandy have much up top?

Well the worlds greatest sleuth Hercule Poirot hailed from Belgium and Sandy’s latest multiple personality has emerged from that part of the world - so he may still have ze little grey cells firing

Getting to a cup final is not an achievement. Finishing 2nd is not an achievement. As Jose famously once said, better to go out in Semi's than lose a final. People clutching at straws thinking 2nd is success. its not, get a grip.

Leicester City also won a Premierleague and FA Cup in last decade like Liverpool. Man Utd main problem is they can’t finish. I hope Kane comes to Man Utd. Also the reason Man Utd did so bad in the CL is because we can’t finish and have an insanely poor goalkeeper. Every year it was nearly identical in the way we got knocked out the CL, poor finishing and bad goalkeeping. Rarely got outplayed and knocked out.
This summer we got rid of one of our worst players in De Gea. If we can also get Onana and Kane then it would be probably the biggest upgrades we had in the whole premierleague era in one transfer window.

Our strikeforce and goakeeper level in last 5 years is probably not in top 100 best. That is why we struggle to win anything of note. Liverpool won the big trophies as they had one of the best goalkeepers in the word and a great strikeforce. Everything opposite to Man Utd in last 5 years.
When Liverpool won the league in 19/20 season 33 points ahead of Man Utd they had near the same shots for and against as Man Utd and expected points. Thats the level of Man Utd players.

It annoys me as we probably had our best midfield and defence but had terrible strikers and goalkeeper at the same time. Greenwood looked like the best striker in the world at Man Utd and after he was out then all our terrible finishing caught up. Remember Rangnick, our form with him was shocking as I think at we were scoring 1 goal every 20 shots and conceded a goal every 5 shots over a period of like 4 months. What is crazy was we were scoring like 1 goal every 15 great chances.😂

When Man Utd won the league in 2013, we converted 20.6% of our shots into the goal scoring 86 goals. Last season Man Utd scored 58 league goals and converted 7.2% of our shots into goals. It wasn’t even the fact we were taking hopeless shots as Ten Hag side is ones that create good chances before shooting. I think if we had a whole team of good finishers last season we would have scored over 120 league goals easily last season. Inept comedy finishing became the norm for Man Utd that our players started laughing after every miss.

Having said that I think transfermarket stats changed a few seasons ago so shots at the goal is the total shots of old so even then Man Utd scored 58 goals from 592 shots which is a 9.8% conversion rate compared to SAF last title winning side conversion rate of 20.6%. We would have scored 122 league goals last season with same conversion rate.
