EfL announcevrule change due to leeds takeover process.
Effectively can’t announce takeover before having been efL approved.
You can understand them being frustrated by way Edd’s have gone about this.
Is this just naivety or ineptitude and should the 49ers really try and know a bit more about the environment they’re working in?
Were 49ers aware of all these relegation clauses?
One would surely have thought so. In which case there is little they can complain about unless they have somehow been completely mislead by Orta and AR in which case perhaps some legal avenue worth pursuing.
With a seemingly ever growing number of investors, all of whom have to be approved, one has to ask why?
Why are all these investors needed?
Why water down control you have and introduce more people?
People who have zero idea about football, leeds the fans etc.
People who just want to make money out of us and maybe show off to their mates.
Some weeks after takeover announced, even less weeks till our first match, plenty of outbounds and not one signing, not one statement, it feels like poor BM when he was left to gave the press.
I really hope all sorted soon, BUT I am more and more concerned about any terms that might be imposed pin us for the way takeover gone through.

Don't these investors who are in it just to make money out of us know that nobody makes money in the Championship? Isn't that how the old adage goes.

Can you remind me about the BM link (Brian McDermott?).

Everyone wanted answers about the club, the owners wouldn't say anything and BM was left to fend off the questions in his pressers.

Sounds like the 49ers Enterprises are a bunch of skint chancers.

Just seems really strange about all these people being part of a consortium, golfers, basketball players, all of whom had never heard of Leeds before no doubt, until 49ers probably went to them saying "Have you heard about Ryan Gosling and Wrexham?"
We will hear justification that a basketball player will wear a Leeds shirt and raise our profile over there.
Do you think if Harrison wears a New York Rangers jersey that we suddenly all become hockey fans?
It's hard to judge until takeover done/ratified etc, but I could fully understand if EFL so peed off by how this is done that they say no transfers for a season, who knows, but this is problem with owners doing stuff in English football when they have no idea how English football works.
Then on other hand, new kit has Strings for Yasmin in it, which was a brilliant idea that only someone with a Leeds connection would appreciate.
I'm a big fan of American sports having lived in Dallas and followed the Dallas Stars, they really knew how to engage and really get the fan involved and feel at teh centre of things.
Would love to see that at Leeds, so I really do have my fingers crossed, but feel they need someone who really knows English football.
Is that Angus Kinnear?
The Angus Kinnear who told us Lasogga was best striker in division.
I just dont trust any of this old regime that has seen stupid badge proposals, idiotic transfer structures like JKA and then going absent from programme notes when fans were desperate for clarity.

Ryan Gosling? Ryan Reynolds I think you meant!

I think the only hope we have is that Farke is a blinking miracle worker and manages to form a competitive side from whatever playing staff remain.
Unfortunately, even if we get the takeover approved in time, I can see us making multiple dire purchases in a total panic as the end of the transfer window rapidly approaches.

It's worth bearing in mind that EFL approval is not a given:
