Why is there so much negatively towards Henderson? Essentially another job offer has come in whereby they are tripling his salary; think about it, if it was you.
Let's say your on £150K per year, someone rings you up says..for doing exactly the same job, I will pay you £450K....in a warmer climate too!
No surprise hes thinking about it at the least.
So much negativity towards Hendo.

Good on him if he goes. Hes been an amazing captain.
Tbh Saudi sounds like a good place to go to get away from woke BS.

When's he 'heading off' there?

Given how outspoken he's been on certain issues it does seem a bit contradictory.
But he'll probably reconcile himself by thinking I'm going to take £50m out of that country and could probably do a fair bit of good with it. And by reconcile I mean spin.

No hate at all towards Hendo.
He came in for £20m as Gerrard’s understudy. Was mocked - “Horrenderson £20m ”
Won everything there is to win in club soccer for Liverpool and ends up as one of Liverpool’s most successful captains and of the premier leagues greatest ever midfielders.
If he wants to go off and secure his family’s future for generations he’s on of a few players that deserves it

I can understand any negativity, it's the counter to the praise and admiration he received for speaking out on issues that mean a huge amount to him.
I don't expect footballers to speak out on any issue. That's not their job, not their responsibility. I do however admire those willing to use their platform and voice to further causes or address issues which they care about.
In Henderson's case, his passion for the LGBTQ+ community was wonderful to see. Going to Saudi where same sez activity is criminalised up to and including capital punishment; well lets just say it's certainly a contradiction.
I get that money is tough to turn down. Would I do any different? I honestly have no idea. And I'll never have any idea because I'll never be offered that kind of money and, barring some outrageous good fortune, I'll never be worth an estimated £25m. As such I wouldn't be too critical of him, but I do understand why some are.

Good comment, which about sums up my feelings on it. It's hard to not be a hypocrite in some way in this day and age, but to advocate so hard for LGBT+ rights and then go work in a place where they have no rights, makes it look like he was just virtue signalling.

It’s disappointing given all Henderson’s done in and out of football for causes to support oppression.

He was happy to play for England when it's kits were made by child labour

What a ridiculous comparison

You're right to say if he goes it all was just virtue signaling. He doesn't need the money at all. His family are already set for life.
