So what are we going to do

This summer window is fast turning into a complete overhaul. It appears by this time next week the club will be without the following midfielders from last season:

Keita
Ox
Milner
Henderson
Fabinho

Cant say in my lifetime Ive ever seen such an exodus in 1 concentrated area of the pitch. I felt we 100% needed another if hendo left. Now fabs going do we need 2? If so what will this look like? Surely we need some experience in the door to complement the younger guys. Still rumours of thiago to Saudi and I get the impression if they offer silly money the club will ok that too.

Midfield is the most important area of the pitch. What sort of season can we realistically expect with such upheaval. The pessimist in me says very up and down again.

Henderson might still stay but if he does go which is very possible then we are looking extremely light in midfield, arguably weaker than last season which is madness.

Just a young raw option in Lavia coming in is nowhere near enough.

My only fear about losing both Hendo and Fabinho is FSG not being willing to sign the right replacements.

Caicedo off the table and the other names just aren’t the calibre of players we need in the team right now. Lavia fine for the future but not for now.

Go get Tchouameni!

Another thing losing Fab will be his height. We must have one of the shortest teams in the premier league now? VVD, Konate and Szoboslai, Gakpo? Can’t think of too many more over 6 ft plus. Will be a massive danger against the likes of Luton, Sheffield United away etc.

We definitely need replacing with some sort of experience, especially if Henderson is going aswell.

He's already said he's not going anywhere.

An overhaul in midfield is needed for Liverpool imo.

Possible you should chase a RB and move Trent to midfield?

I’m not sure who we will get but we won’t miss Hendo and Fabinho much, they were awful last season.

Lavia would be fine by me, he’s got tonnes of potential and we also have Bajcetic coming through…. We need power and energy for the midfield and that’s not coming from Fab or Hendo. We might also find another playing coming in that goes under the radar…

Just cant see anything other than teething problems to start the season out now whilst new guys get used to their new systems. Fab and hendo might not have been auto starters for the full season coming but id have put my house on it that both would have been starting at stamford bridge on the opening day.

The 2 weve bought and you have to assume whoever else we are going to buy are going to have to swim in the deep end very quickly.

Nunez is comfortably over 6 foot as well.
