I’m hoping once we have shifted a few of the players that look to be on the way out, that we might start looking for a type of striker that could mix up a game if things aren’t going our way etc. With Jesus starting up top, Trossard is of the same kind of ilk, small, strong, link up play drifting wide. Eddie is a bit different but isn’t the same as a big tall strong hold up striker who can link up play, a bit like we’ve had in the past with Giroud, Adebayor, Bendtner etc.
Who would fit that mould? Someone like Vlahovic, although he has previously turned us down.
I’ve seen Mitrovic muted for a move to Saudi, would he be any good? Could he change up a game if we needed a ‘bully’ up top?
Toney would have been decent.

Plan B up front

You can't really work a plan B unless you also expect to change the formation and style of play in midfield to supply a big man.
What you can do however is add height into the team, so the same players can change it up. And that's what we have done with Havertz.

We need a 25 goal a season striker

Jesus did score 11 goals last season despite a lot of injuries. I don't think it would be unreasonable to think he could get 20 injury free.

Plan B is very difficult to implement tbh. Saw it with Giroud
