Manchester United have agreed a 55m euro (£47.2m) deal for Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana.
The Old Trafford club will pay £43.8m for the Cameroon player, with an additional £3.4m in add-ons.
United hope the 27-year-old will be able to join them on their upcoming tour of the United States but they have to arrange a visa for the player.
Manager Erik ten Hag moved for the keeper at the end of the season after previously working with him at Ajax.
He feels Onana can be a significant addition to United's squad, and his decision prompted David de Gea to turn down a new contract offer at the club.
Onana spent seven and a half years at Ajax before moving to Inter in July 2022.
He kept eight clean sheets in 24 Serie A games as Inter finished third and also kept eight clean sheets in 13 matches in the Champions League last season - the most of any goalkeeper in the competition.
He played against Manchester City in the Champions League final in June as Inter lost 1-0.

No I would deffo keep them. Any club should think themselves lucky that a small portion of revenue the club generates gets spent on transfers.
I don’t care that they don’t spend a penny on anything else like the ground or facilities, or hiring decent staff to run the football side, I’d rather it go in their families pockets every year that’s how grateful I am, they deserve it.

Fair point. I haven’t been overly impressed by this keeper when I’ve seen him, whereas rashford on form is very important to the side. Hopefully onana turns that opinion right round.
