Daniel Farke leads his team out for just his 2nd pre season game. The season starts in a fortnight so hoping to see a lineup that resembles what we should be looking to field against Cardiff. No Adam Forshaw as he has departed the club. Any players not featuring today seemingly look like leaving.

Wish Bamford had a loan clause.
Fcking waste of space.

I know this is probably a contentious opinion and I expect to be in the minority that thinks this but just watching that 2nd half performance and how easy Gnonto was marked out of the game and how easy EPL defenders once they worked him out could also frustrate him just by doubling up on him I'm starting to think Leeds might be best served to offload Gnonto after all.
If we can get £30 million and that means we can keep Summerville who I think is a trickier player and harder for defenders to cope with plus keep Sinisterra Adams and Harrison then that's a sacrifice I think Leeds should make.
Maybe I'm over reacting to what I saw in the 2nd half of what was after all only a friendly and Championship defenders would not pose the same degree of difficulty for Willy to out wit and he would be a major contributer to the team's success but the more I see Gnonto play the less I'm starting to be as excited about him compared to when he first burst onto the scene with us.

Watched the Monaco game today, let's be realistic once the transfer window closes on 31st August we should have a better idea of our starting 11.
We definitely need a goal scorer, Bamford is not the solution

If Wober has a relegation loan clause that he and his agent decide to exercise then we don't want him back....EVER! Even if we bounce straight back up.

And the same goes for the others with same clauses.

My thoughts having been there. Not great, not awful. I've seen us play worse in pre season and then have a great season afterwards.
Hjelde and James struggled first half. Sinisterra and Gnonto are much less effective on the right as the left. Thought Struijk played well, but not a great view for the second goal or the penalty.
Archive Gray and Jamie Shackleton both tidy. Summerville can't play the 10. Thought Gelhardg was better there. Ampadu looks a good bit of business to me.

Some of the things we learned today
- Wober is leaving
- Harrison / Firpo / Adams have lengthy injuries
- Costa must be leaving
- Perkins / Bate / Poveda struggling to stay in the senior set up
Hard to judge pre-season friendlies but
- difficult to see how Rutter will play as a lone no9
- difficult to see summerville of gelhardt having an impact at no.10
We havent looked like scoring in the two pre-season friendlies although appreciate opposition has been good.

The only times we've looked remotely a threat up to now has been when Rutter was picking up the ball deep in the first half against schum, and basically whenever Sinisterra has got on the ball. I find it very hard to believe we're going to be able to keep him.
Willy wasn't at his best today but picked up a sore foot in the collision which resulted in the ridiculous penalty award. Make no mistake, Championship defenders aren't going to relish facing him. Must keep him if we can.

I do question the Byram scenario.
if we can help someone out with some training/rehab that's one thing.
But playing for us when we're trying to sort out our team is another.
I think back to days of Christie and Telfer, cheap options who were never the answer and really hope this isn't more of the same.
Players we see in friendlies really should be ones with realistic chance of vying for first team place, is Byram really in that bracket?

Need to see a big improvement on Thursday. Penultimate friendly and we need to see some kind of product. Look about 4 players short atm. The only positive from today was Ampadu seems like a good addition.
