Paraag's podcast episode and open letter are really good comms for teh fans, everything was thought out, polished and some real thought gone into how to resonate with fans, so really good job with that.
But the line about being passenger on the bus and no control doesn't ring true, you're not a substantial share owner, for some years and have no visibility of what is going on with these contracts especially when your speciality area is....contracts.
If 49ers have been so royally screwed over then I would expect them to make a statement about it, to deflect blame from themselves or maybe even take AR to court.
The scale of the mismanagement with these contracts when you also take into account the JKA fiasco and 35m blown on Rutter is horrendous.
The heartbreaking thing is that all this money spent on them could have been far better spent had anyone been able to look at Orta's track record some years, back.....we would be playing in Prem next season.
Anyhow, 49ers have to do more than those 2 pieces of PR to ensure things don't turn against them as quickly as they turned for Marsch.
I don't mind getting rid of any players, but make some money from it.
Let Farke dictate who he wants or not. Paraag said he likes to hire good people and let them then do their job but Farke is saying, just a couple of weeks into the job that players he had strong plans for have gone.
There has to be real honesty from 49ers to Farke, there has to be more clarity from 49ers to us and I would really like to see 49ers and Farke TOGETHER in a press conference showing unity and answering unscripted questions.
I think Farke can do well for us if supported, I've not yet seen the support, I've heard about it, but we need actions rather than words now.
Some thoughts on 49ers

A couple of new signings this week would lift the mood and i don't mean Byram!
Nat Phillips and maybe a midfielder and/or striker.
Id say we also need at least a gk and a left back but its looking like we are stuck with Meslier and Firpo as no one wants them
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Keeper, LB, creative midfielder and striker.
I think 60 mill could buy you all those for this division.
If that is too much for parachute payments, 49ers wealth and any monies from player sales (already have a whopping 3m from Rodrigo), then we're in serious trouble.
Like I said time for actions not words, lets hope we see some this week!

Not sure we can spend 60m with financial fair play.
Which means getting nothing for these players gone out on loan is even more frustrating

FFP works over 3 years, its always used as an excuse by owners.
Completely agree re frustration re loans.

Just listened to DFs post-Monaco interview on LUTV. Another clear statement by DF is that he wouldn’t have chosen the pre-season friendlies with ManU and Monaco.
I hope DF doesn’t get so frustrated that he either leaves, or gives the 49ers the ultimate decision to make by the comments he’s making (that I applaud him for making btw). If we lose DF, we’re in serious trouble.

Not his fault of course we had those friendlies, but an insight that who is deciding those is really not connected to what the team needs.
I like him and how he communicates, he reminds me of TC, I really hope we haven't brought him in because he is malleable and doesnt rock the boat.
As Paraaag said, bring in good people and then let them get on with their job.
I really want to hear from DF less one teh contracts and more of the "I'm getting everything I need"
I've not yet heard him say anything like that.

I have a friend who is a Coventry fan, they too have four friendlies lined up, Forest Green, Shrewsbury, MK Dons and Exeter City. Teams you'd expect them to win, not really a test of fitness and probably doesn't illustrate where shortcomings are.
Do you opt for matches that pose a challenge or ones that help build confidence.
Certainly a dilemma.

For me priorities are:
Match sharpness
Assessing players
Trying out tactics
Avoiding injuries
Engaging with fans
You want to make your practices as close to the real thing, which means playing teams around your level, some a bit higher, some a bit lower.
Play v too high, your players go over top and risk injury, play too low a level, their players go over top and risk injury to us.
I think point here is Farke wouldn't have chosen these matches. One hopes that next time he is more in control.

Very wise. Thomas and Spieth stand to lose a few bucks in the next year or two.

Don't really want those just init to make a quick buck. Id like those that invest to be genuinely interested in the club doing well and being prosperous.
