How do you protect yourself?

Another day, another high profile man cleared of charges against him. Yet people will still say "no smoke without fire" and "just because he hasn't been found guilty doesn't mean he isn't guilty".

Now I am sure most of you have had a one night stand, a long term sexual relationship or even casual sexual experiences with the same person on a number of occasions.
So how do you protect yourself from ever being falsely accused?
1 - Abstain from all sexual activity?
2 - Get your potential sexual partner to sign a legally binding contract?
3 - Film all sexual activities?
4 - Have witnesses to all sexual activities?
5 - Only use professional ladies and have all the receipts?

Just remember, any time you have sexual contact with another person there is always a chance they could accuse you of rape or sexual assault, and even if you are totally innocent you will actually be guilty because so few rape cases actually end in conviction, so that proves you are guilty.

Probably does.

You seem to describe your sexual experiences with women as very negative or "horrible" from both perspectives so I shall say goodnight and hope you find happier times in life and vaginii

I've been afraid of sexual activity my whole life

Yeah you're not qualified to be making suggestions about the world the rest of us live in. Not trying to be mean, but you should probably recognize that your lived experience isn't shared by the majority.

So much overt projection all over this thread

The proposed move to affirmative consent has feminist and female origins, and yes a lot of US students are now sending each other consent texts before going for it.

Instead of getting personal, if you have an issue with it there's plenty of female lawyers on the sharp end of this you can send your suggestions to, particularly if you feel that you're representative of the majority.

Nah... You guys are gradually watching the world change and you think it's going to go back to what you know. It's never going back. The me too movement gave women their power rightly, and people were going to react. A lot of people are going to get away with court cases. Soon the majority you see now is going to change too. It's all going change.

Anyways, as usual, it's better to shut up around you guys so I'm going to shut up. I'm a 40 year old man married for 5 years, and I've been in 10s of relationship in my adulthood and you quote a slip at a point.

It's not going to end how you think it should. I'm done with this topic.

I don't claim to know where the world's going. None of us can know that. And I haven't given it deep thought as to where I think it should.. though I guess equality would appear to the natural conclusion to everything.. and who would have an issue with that?

In this case, if that means a quick text to say 'yeah I'm up for it' is it really something be concerned about?

This whole debate seems like the pre-nup thing. If you're in a situation where you might be concerned that someone would marry you for financial gain, you take precautions. If you're not, you don't. There are ways to avoid putting yourself in that situation.

This approach seems to be pretty successful from what I’ve seen.

Mr Malkinson, the victims of Williams and many others would disagree.
