This is probably going to be the day, Romano confirms that Munich meeting levy in London today for talks over Kane.
In my opinion, I think we have to let him go. He can't be replaced directly we know that, but the risk of him joining utd or Chelsea looms next season and I just don't think levy or the fans could stomach seeing Kane and poch at Chelsea.
I do think we need a high energy striker to replace him. I think Richarlison will have a better season with the way we'll be playing but I don't think he's the answer at all. Muani seems a logical choice, when a striker gets a lot of assists it's a good sign for me they are a rounded player.
Could be a difficult day spurs fans, one we've dreaded. Can't help but feel we've let Kane down as opposed to the other way round.

Certain places reporting that Levy cancelled last minute as a tactic to be in control of negotiations, like he's Michael Scott or something
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Fair play is what i say.
They want our player, they tap him up, they talk about him in the press, they show no respect for us....Fffhuck'em, if they want to talk they talk on our terms. When they arrive, i'd make them wait in reception for an hour!
Dont know why anyone would not support our stance on this!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not sure what sort of extra control you get in negotiations by cancelling last minute that you wouldn't get already by him being your player to sell. Ok it might pisss Bayern off a bit but to be honest I think most Spurs fans would like to see this situation concluded now and not dragged on. Just get it done and over with and then we can move on, either with Kane, or without and then try in what little time we have left to attempt to replace.

Cos it's stupid, childish and a waste of everyones time?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Good you see it that way. In future it will deter Bayern from trying to buy our players. It has been reported both Utd and Madrid were put off by going for Kane due to trying to negotiate with Levy 👍🏻

I would prefer to wait and start spending the money on defenders and an attacker. Only then Kane should be sold otherwise other clubs will raise the price if their players by £10m or £15m because they know we have a wad full of cash.
Look at West Ham right now. Everyone know they have the Rice money burning a hole in their pocket and it is hirting them find a replacement.

Well it would be similar to the Bale situation when we sold him although I seem to remember his sale wasn't officially announced until we did most of our business. We suspected we were selling him because we were making all these signings.

Yep Bale was sold in September. All depends how quickly we can secure targets. Notice how there seem to be links to attacking playing now in the press.
I think the whole meeting being postponed until next week is rubbish anyway. I suspect an deal has already been agreed but Levy wants to the control the narrative around the sale. Hence the Joe Lewis story about selling Kane if he doesn't sign a new contract.

Even if we've sold Kane I would still want the priority to be on signing defenders though. This is more important. People act like we only finished as high as we did last season because of Kane. Well actually we only finished as low as we did because of shiiite defending.
Kane is important but goals will still come. Obviously we'll still need reinforcements though. Whoever that could be I don't know.

Seems short sighted though. Realistically your level is the Modric, Bale, Berbatov stepping stone kind of club.
Should you have moved on since then? Perhaps. But if you get a reputation of holding onto players where it hinders them, people might think twice about joining you. I wonder if that's happening with Brighton and Caiceido right now, even if it's slightly different circumstances.
