Sad news about the manner of David Silva's retirement. How lucky we were to watch him dazzle for so many years. One of the greatest midfielders to ever play the game and and a City legend. Wish him all the best for whatever comes next.

Lovely player to watch.
Loved a pint too apparently which I found surprising.

It was a privlege to watch him play.
I went to a Fans Forum at the Etihad and we knew there was going to be a mystery guest.
We looked at the cars on the carpark when we arrived and spotted a gleaming white Bentley with Spanish plates.
My mate said "If that's David Silva's, he's going to be a right flash basterd"
It was Silva's and he answered question through an Interpreter, just said the right things. The other guest was James Milner(?) who far more interesting
It turned out our assumptions couldn't have been more misguided.
Super industrious with skills to match, never dirty but fiesty when fouled which more or less dismissed the claims he was too 'lightwight for the Premier League'. MOTM probably in 80% of the games he played.
Could possibly go down as my favourite City player of all time, I'll think about that more when KdB leaves.

Surely one of the greatest players to ever receive two salaries.

My fav all timer in blue, a joy to watch. I always rated Curle and McCarthy as a youngster but this guy was just perfect.

His assist for the final goal in the Demolition Derby was a thing of simple beauty forever. What a player.
