Rooney wanted to get sent off

He clearly doesn't like the pressure and weight of expectation on his shoulders. So what better way to avoid that than getting himself sent off, so he will miss the first game and possibly the first two games. Then if he has a bad game in the quarter final, he can blame it on not being match sharp. But knowing him, he will just get himself sent off in the quarter finals and avoid the pressure of a possible penalty shootout. A coward pretending to be a Lion with his silly bouts of anger that wouldn't scare a mouse. That is our Wayne Rooney.

a world-class player? for Manchester United yes.
for England? he's a liability and lets us down far too often.

An early start to his summer holiday next year as he should be left out of future squads and lets have someone who is bothered.
