Correct me if I'm wrong but I think this may be a first for the Wolves Match Thread folks, a DOUBLE HEADER!! Innovation and efficiency right here ladies and gentlemen for two games that absolutely did not deserve their own match threads.
First up, we welcome back our former full back, coach and one match caretaker manager Rob Edwards. Its been a whirlwind 18 months or so for Edwards, leaving Forest Green after guiding them to promotion to League one for the first time in their history, for a predictably brief ride on the Watford managerial merry go round. He then took Luton in to the play offs and a Wembley victory over Coventry. Another former full back will likely return having begun pre season with our first team squad, Ryan Giles is one of 5 new signings Luton have brought in including also Marvelous Nakamba from Villa.
Then on Saturday, the final warm up by before the big kick off, Stade Rennais travel to molineux from the land of Cidre and Crêpes to provide our strongest pre season opposition. A fourth place finish in Ligue 1 last season secured a Europa League group stage spot for them last season. Not a squad brimming with household names but keeper Steve Mandanda is well known for his time with Marseille and the French national team.

The ITKs on the mix have been brilliant this summer.
Now forming a bit of a clique and piggybacking each others insights
All knew what was going on behind the scenes now of course, just couldn't say at the time

Gary O’Neil has been given a 3 year contract.
He looks set to be joined by Tim Jenkins whose background is with Liverpool u23s and Martin Robson who has been with West Ham u21s

Those two coaches have now joined the club plus Shaun Derry who had a long playing career and was assistant to Viera when he was in charge at Palace

Interesting that Wolves made an offer of £20m for Scott that was turned down. And made an offer of £2.5m for Cresswell and £7m for Elvedi.
Yet the message now seems to be Wolves will spend nothing, even though more sales will be made

Can't say I am upset at missing Scott but no doubt he will be fantastic now.
