Actually yeah he's another one and on about £65k a week.

I don't think we'll see a cb to at least him and maybe Matip is sold so probably next summer when both go.

Why can’t we defend in this system? Conceded 10 goals in 3 games which is shocking, even end of last season just conceded too many goals.

Trying to implement what City are doing could be difficult because pep plays with 4 cbs across the line, who’s main job is to defend. Stones obviously able to come in midfield and play. But they do their job and let the front players do their thing, which we should be doing with the array of attacking players we have.

I hope we get that solid team we had in 18/19 back soon, but just can’t see it happening.

I never read too much into pre season, so many changes, kids playing 5,6,7 changes a half etc, fitness as well.

Having said that you can pick up consistent plays etc irrespective of who's playing.

I think most are right, conceded far too many in pre season....I suspect we will tighten up once a settled team emerges, but conceding so many puts huge pressure on the attacking front to outscore the opposition.

yes the same.old weaknesses were on show but the side wasn't totally out played.

Held our own could have been 4-2 up at one point, first team lead for majority of it and were leading 3-2 when it changed. Both teams had plenty of chances to win it/seal it. Draw would prob have been fair and would have been nice see a few pens too.

Good pre season game but yeah worryingly same old problems at the back and defending set pieces.
