away now, getting pretty excited as usual. Some bright new talent will be seen at WHL this season, Vicario, Maddison, Solomon, Udogie. Also the emerging young talents of Sarr and Devine I am looking forward to being very much involved in the 1st XI.
I personally think Spurs will have a cracker of a season, despite still floundering about in the market for CBs. I think with the added depth in midfield, that will help 100 percent. Last season`s midfield was poverty in the main PEH and Skipp, both triers, but no real forward intent from either, and the two of them were regularly getting overrun. This season plan A should be to flood the midfield, stop the opposition getting at the defence. That could like save 20/30 goals a season being shipped.
The midfield in particularly really excites me. The addition of Maddison, the remergence of Lo Celso, the return of Bentancur at some point will make a huge difference. For the first time in a while, Spurs will actually have a choice of midfielders.
To start the season with the absence of Bentancur, I would be starting with Maddison, Bissouma and Lo Celso, three quality players, with PEH sitting in behind in front of the defence. Enough attacking flair their to supply, Kane, Son, Richarlison to score an absolute hatful.
At the back I would play just the one CB as it stands, Romero,flanked by Emerson and Udogie as the full backs. PEH just in front of them. Out wide toss up between Kulu or Porro on one side, Udogie looks a real talent, so can zip up and down the left.
An exciting emerging side mixed with experience and youth is what the new Spurs should now be all about under Ange. What`s not to like about it. One game a week for most of the season should absolutely be benefitting Spurs. So no real excuses for not having a cracking season.

VdV in from Wolfsburg for 30m
So could be a zero net spend here with remaining budget going on smaller buys of Lenglet, plus Phillips and Veliz, ones for the future.

I do think that Ange has a lot of goodwill from the fan base.
It’s just a shame he’s been left short in pre-season.
I’m pretty sure Levy will get the brunt of the blame when it goes wrong - and rightly so.

Nope. Said we needed to sort out the defence and boy was a right. I was happy with the rest, but still feel we were left short like we always are with Levy
