Fingers crossed, a couple of extra signings could make all the difference this this season.

We absolutely need to sign 2 x CDMs (one of those immediately ready to be a starter) and a CB as a minimum.

Even if we do that, it’s still too late for the start of the season and why we have taken such an unnecessary risk is complete negligence.

I can’t do this to myself anymore. I’m just going to assume all will be hunky-dory come the start of the season

🤣 just like the hunky-dory covid season when we went into that season light in defence…

I dunno what people are expecting here to be honest.

I really don't.

the club is self sustaining, meaning fsg won't put a penny in.

the club is banned from taking on transfer debt. meaning fsg want maximum return on asset.

the club has to pay back fsg for the main stand (2016 on a ten year deal at 12mil per year, add 2 years for their kind covid suspension of repayment)

the club was forced to borrow the 80 odd million for anfield road on its own and pay this back itself. another 10 year debt.

add all this up and I'd love to know in what reality do lfc buy any player linked.

we got two really good cms (imo) in this summer. our next spend is about 38mil which is 12mil below the average net spend over past few years.

we will sell someone like Phillips and buy us somebody. don't worry.

however don't expect mega bucks from the owners to finance buys irrespective of scope of ffp.

we buy out of cash flow and there's 20 off mil tied up in stadium that just about any other major owners would have wiped off (bar the glaziers)

people ought to stop worrying about chasing oil clubs and focus on acheiving something like 4th and the europa league.

we have a GOOD team, our 1 to 11 is not too shabby bar the no 6 area until bajcetic and thaigo get properly fit.

we have a good set of forwards that if fit can really fire us on.

we have the best keeper going.

so imo just focus on the team we have and forget expecting fsg to help us one jot.

I think this is pretty much nail on head.

Just very frustrating to be playing by rules none of our competitors do. Chelsea for example spent more on players over the last year than we have in ten. Good news is they are still garbage.

Just image if Klopp had that spending power.

It's time FSG went, they did save us but football has moved to a new era and FSG cannot compete with other clubs.

the thing is, while we all know full well that city owners cheated massively they are sitting and laughing now as cheslea and said make them look like the fairest side in the league.

just my opinion but the bubble of club value is just about past.

man utd are still not sold and whatever is going on there it's likely to be thr most over valued of all.

the Chelsea deal is so dodgy that the old owner despite sanctioned was involved in selections and the new owner seems a front for something thsts not clear.

the spending since has caused a massive transfer bubble to follow the ownership bubble.

fsg imo have rather stupidly missed the boat as they seem to have some idea they can have their cake and eat it. lfc is the biggest asset they own and they make a lot of money leveraging the club from afar. they want to retain ownership yet sell is.

nobody is having that.

we now have arsenal owner allowing them to spend all their money and more and taking the stadium costs off them. he wants the big sale too. (could easily implode)

we have man utd up to how many billions wanted in bad playing options? seeing sale for 6mil or whatever

we have newcastle pretending to be good guys while they have a back door to 500 players and can have any player they wish bought from them.

we have spurs outstanding us but being called mean. over 5 years they have outspent us.

we have Chelsea with 40 player and buying more.

fsg have us buying our own stadium, our own players and harvesting revenues in the USA. people call the glasizer leeches lol
