Dogs - what is going on? OTT Pampering?

I’ve just seen a dog being pushed in a fackin pram

Also the last few months I’ve seen a lot more dogs in outfits, dogs being carried in a chest carrier, dogs in shoes, costumes, even one seated in a high chair in a restaurant

Don’t get me wrong I love dogs, but what the fack is this crazy influx of OTT dog pampering that is going on?

I’ve seen on social media dogs getting Christmas presents, birthday cakes, pedicures, I find it crazy. Don’t really mind a little birthday celebration but I’m talking about the daily outfits and spa days

What’s your thoughts? Agree with it / disagree? Do you pamper your dog to this extreme?

Cats must be laughing their heads off when they walk past one, be careful cats these people will get bored eventually and move on to you guys to be fair cats deserve to have to wear a fackin pumpkin outfit

Defo time to just start investing in dog clothing shops from an investment point of view seems like it’ll continue to boom for many years and more and more outlets will open…

A little bit of perspective goes a long way.

As far as most of the planet is concerned, the fact that we westerners even allow our dogs into our houses is insane.

The dog is not a particularly sanitary animal. Take away the invention of expensive modern pet shampoos and parasite treatments, and all you have left is fleas, ticks and all kinds of intestinal and respiratory worms.

Take away modern medicine and we’d had a life expectancy of about 40. Pointless comment.

Bizarre comment really. Dogs are barely less sanitary ourselves. In fact they clean themselves more often than we do.

We carried cotton buds and wet wipes to use after our dog done his business

Which would explain why many societies have traditionally played it safe by coming up with a variety of taboos against any animals that posed any kind of perceived jeopardy.
