well, we are not a circus anymore and the world is taking MUFC seriously again. Which is a massive improvement under ETH. People forget easily what it was like previously in Ed Woodenheads days. We expected the likes of daft signings like Sanchez etc to come onto the pitch in an exploding car.

I don't always take these seriously because many players say the same thing. With Di Maria and Sanchez, it was clearly for other reasons.

Did the pull of Utd ever really go away?

Off the top of my head I can't think of anyone you've really missed out on or has chosen another option. But I obviously don't follow closely.

I think the lure of Utd has always been there, it's just you chose to target the wrong managers and players. But I do think you've got a good one in ETH. Unfortunately!

It's a vote of confidence at least that several players who worked with ETH in the past have emphatically opted to be reunited with him. And who knows: maybe the fact we've recruited several of his ex-players reflects the fact that those deals were easier to close due to the players' enthusiasm, rather than because ETH insisted on them over other candidates.
