As expected, Caicedo is off to Chelsea.
Every selling club has now upped their prices by another £10m-£20m as they know we were willing to spend over £100m on another player.
We've shot ourselves in the foot big time here, and we're quickly becoming a laughing stock
Where do we go from here then?

Chelsea have stitched us up like a pair of kippers. Signing both strengthens them immensely and weakens us considerably.
We have to get a DM in now.

It's interesting that they've agreed a deal with Lavia but still no bid for Caicedo. Sounds like they may be struggling.

It's telling that despite Chelsea having a disaster of a season last year, they are still seen as a more attractive proposition to players.
Is that because they've got more ambitious owners who stick two fingers up at FFP and expose it as the disaster that it is?

No. Money talks. After last season’s £600M+ purchases they seem to have more money than sense.

Your average wage per player is higher than ours
Myths are easier to live with though I guess

We haven't broken any FFP rules though. Plenty of brown envelopes been hitting offshore accounts at Chelsea. Another disgraceful football club.
