Thoughts from today

Away game to a second relegation favourite in a week couldnt present a much easier start to a season for a team coveting promotion from the championship.

The Championship which is apparently just a "speedbump" and will be exited swiftly with our aggressive policy to succeed.

The starting lineup looked awfully devoid of quality.

Cresswell, Shackleton, Poveda, James, Gelhardt all deemed not good enough for us last season and out on loan (along with Drameh, Hjelde and Bate on the bench), showed how much of teh barrel we're having to scrape and if that we're indicator enough, well we only had 8 subs instead of 9.

One assumes that this was some last minute issue, but this ia a mess and one that 49ers need to get to grips with quickly because what we served up on the pitch today was poor, very poor.

No life, creativity or threat up front, none.

Poveda is not good enough, Dan James back told tricks of delivering zero, Gelhardt not even winning free kicks any more.

Ayling was made to look a fool by Dembele today, I'm a fan of Ayling's but if drama can't usurp him when he's playing this poorly then he surely;y never will.

Last week we heard commentators go on and on about Farke's symptoms stem, but I dont see what it is. I dont se exactly what we're trying to do, how we're supposed to be playing.

Right now, we're not going up, not getting playoffs. We need injured players back and playing well, not getting injured again, we need new signings in, we need clarity of other players, and we need a win for I fear next home match we'll start to hear the crowd express what they think of things.

No insider info I'm afraid lads just my opinion, 18 days to end of transfer window, the players we have signed have been decent and no reason to think others wont be either, worrying thing is we are chasing the same players as lower end of the PL teams and sadly they have an advantage over us plus if we lose Gnonto and Sini clubs will know we are desperate and try and hold us to ransom, I had the same bet as wakey and am still fairly confident of collecting, maybe not the 100pts and 100 goals ones lol, did see on social media some fans had met Angus in the services on the way home and he said they were in for a striker not the lad from Swansea but one they thought was as good, will be an interesting week hopefully, if I have anything interesting to report I will do so but off to Crete for a week tomorrow so missing the West Brom game,

^^^

Garbage today. But, I agree with Don.

I dont Think Farke likes Perkins. Not really used him at all yet. Even in preseason. Seems strange and i could be wrong
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Farke saying Helder Costa wants to leave the club so hasn't been involved over the summer.

Says he had eight players on the bench because they were the only eight players he felt were properly ready.

It seems some players just aren’t showing it in training. If they don’t show it then they won’t be on the bench never mind in the team.

Those not wanting to be here will train on their own and not be allowed in the dressing room.

He says he knew how hard the job was going to be but has faith in the owners.

I personally think we will see quite a few going over the next week and hopefully some players coming in who want to be here.

It’s a total clown outfit at the moment and it pains me that players like Bamford have received so much crap from supporters when at least he turns up and tries to do his job. No way would he ever refuse to play for us.

Farke won’t walk. He realises what a huge club he is managing and expected most of what he’s currently seeing.

I don’t think the team played that badly today. Considering how many players are out injured, it consisted of youngsters and players who were loaned out last season. I think they deserved a draw at least. The penalty was very fortunate for Birmingham. We desperately need to sign a striker who scores lots - not another Rutter, or Georginio as he calls himself this season. Orta really excelled himself with that deal! I’m not going to be too downbeat until we get to the end of the transfer window and see what kind of team we can put out then.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
My view too. I think we deserved a point. The team was makeshift and those that played can at least hold their heads high.

Let’s see what happens over the next two weeks. At least Farke now knows who wants to stay and fight for their place.

Gnonto is one I would just sit on unless we get a huge offer. He’s earning peanuts I guess and if he continues to strike then we can fine him as much as possible. Let’s be strong on this one.

Worrying, I didn't think there were that many players that wanted away. What a sad bunch.

Farke's approach reminds me of the great Geno Auriemma.

The organisation HAS to give the head coach complete control.

Well that’s what Paraag spouted during his presser - time now for him to deliver on his otherwise hot-air.

If Sini wasn’t available but not the same as Gnonto then you would image either someone has triggered his loan clause or someone is set to buy him

Yep I think Sini is gone. Hopefully for decent money. Excellent player and looked head and shoulders above everyone in the last two games. Maybe putting himself in the shop window. Get rid if he wants away.

Summerville too I think. Again get rid for as much money as possible.

Gnonto can do one too - but on our terms - not his or Everton’s.

We need some senior heads in the squad/team. At the moment Ayling and Byram are the only ones.

I’d be putting feelers out for Danny Ings. A short term solution but he knows how to put himself about. Would be a good mentor for the youngsters too.

We can’t rely on the likes of Gray and other youngsters to get us promoted. They need using properly and carefully.

If we could only get Dallas, Bamford, Cooper and Harrison back playing. Maybe not everyone’s cups of tea but at least they want it.

Agree on this, especially Gray, I think he's there because we're short of players, but needs protection along the way.

You get Bamford, Harrison and Cooper back should be much easier.

I dont know if Dallas comes back but just having him around helps.
