4th game of the season. Bolton top of the league, still with a 100% record and no goals conceded face Fleetwood in the first of a home double header. This is the 9th fixture between the clubs. Bolton have won all 5 at home and 7 in total with just 1 win for Fleetwood. Team news. Bolton pick from 21 tonight. George Johnston is out for the season and Böðvarsson and Toal play for the b team this afternoon. George Thomason is available for selection after turning down a move to Bristol City for what sounds a derisory offer to me. Kick off is 7.45pm. Tonights referee is Tom Neild who sent of Dion Charles last season in the home game v forest green who couldn't tell the difference between him and Elias Kachunga. Lets hope he has been to Specsavers since.

Dion was stupid for mouthing off to the ref for his second yellow after dragging their keepers shirt right after leading with his elbow when going in on their defender.
Evatt was misuse of technology; he'd watched the Charles red replay and was giving it large to 4th official telling hm he'd watched it.
Evatt doubtful he'll win an appeal. He can't argue var when we don't have it and use of tech on the touchline is a no no, plus his big gob
As I said during the game, it's not as if we didn't know what the ref could like.
With some refs you have to bite your lip, smile and walk away.

The way I saw it Charles tried to get the other side of the keeper, who kicks out at him not once but twice.
After trying to mention this the ref then gives the free kick, then panics and books Charles.
Then their guy can go two footed, out of control and even though he misses him he doesn't card the lad.
Weak refereeing.

Cid did you miss the Charles leading with the elbow and pulling the keeper back.
Ref could have been playing that on if you look where the free kick was taken from.
We don't get the ref's report, nor do we get a lip reading of the Charles abuse to the ref.
Like I said it's time we learnt to smile and walk away. If we are bright, we can use the dark arts manual to get even after the event.
Time to focus on the next game.
Onwards to battle on Saturday at 12.30.

Missed the elbow bit. It was an arm across but not enough to stop the keeper obviously.
If it was a free kick for what Charles did for that why wasn't it given earlier.

We are short on cameras so can't answer but looking in slow mo, keeper was in possession of the ball so could have been waiting to see if keeper played it out quickly. He didn't then Charles walked into the leg out.
The ref did point to where the arm went across the keeper the commentators spotted it and said it was across the throat.
It was after that Charles had said something to the ref that the ref reached for a card, he hadn't been near his pocket for a card until them.
More than one offence in there by Charles it looks like his gob caused the second yellow.
If I'd been ref on the ground and had seen it as an arm across the throat I'd have gone for a straight red!
Too much is subject to how the ref saw and interpreted it.
Charles does have a gob on him which doesn't help.

Hi guys, I'm back from Granada and missed all the excitement with Dion Charles and Ian Evatt incidents
I'm pleased that Evatt will be pitch-side, hopefully, he will be able to influence the game in a positive manner.
Four wins from four games if we win our next two games this month my prediction of winning all our games in August will prove to be an excellent start.
Let's hope that we can carry on with this rich vein of results
