He's basically being told look mate we don't want you so how about you do us a favour and move to another job doing the same role for lesser wages, please mate?

And he is saying how about No? He has a contract what person in their right mind willingly will take a pay cut when they have a contract paying them more for doing nothing but sitting on a bench?

Put yourself in his shoes.. you'd probably ask the same from your current employer if you had the same T&Cs.

All that said I do really hope he never gets another second on the pitch in a United shirt.

Not saying he can’t stay and earn his wage, it’s a contract the club offered him. My issue is that he seems to care more about his bank balance than his career (again his choice) which considering his wealth already is reason to not be happy with him. He’s 5th choice CB, he’s unlikely to play much at all this season and possibly risking his place in the Euro squad next summer.

On top of that, wanting the club to pay off the remainder of your contract (at the risk of wasting his own career) which he isn’t entitled to is pretty pathetic. The only way he can get the money from our contract is by staying and rotting away in the reserves and he’s chosen that over a decent move to another PL club. Knoobhead.

Didn't Southgate speak to Henderson before his move to SA reassuring him he'll still be in contention?

While I would laugh if slabhead lost his place in the England side we all know Southgate has his favourites sadly.
