...Antony's ex-partner is apparently launching a domestic abuse complaint against him, with a 70-page witness statement.

What's wrong with the world, with the football industry, with macho culture?

Berba & Robb, me and RBW... Look at us: get a room, eh?

Berbaking, I'm sure there are some very conservative attitudes in Africa and accompanying them a higher density of undeconstructed masculinity (to put it politely). All I'm saying is Twitter collects and amplifies all the worst voices (you massive racist!)

I'm confident that African football Twitter isn't representative of African people, in the same way Twitter tends to magnify the most obsessive, unbalanced and sociopathic elements of any community. But African football Twitter is a special kind of cesspit.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

A few months ago I did a 12 hour charity football marathon to raise money for a very excellent organisation called Tackle Africa who use football as a way to educate on various social & shexual health issues prevalent across Africa. The info pack on the extent of some of the issues was alarming; some of which I was aware of (on a laymen's level at least), such as HIV etc... Others were genuinely shocking; domestic violence, teenage pregnancy rates in certain countries (like Malawi).

I worry that the tendencies/beliefs you see on African Twitter aren't a million miles away from the attitudes you'll find on the ground.

I want to caveat that by saying that I've travelled in Southern Africa and it was magical. Also happened to bump in Nigel Farage (yea, I know) in Swakopmund and Jason Manford at the top of Table Mountain with his wife & kids!
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I unfiltered you Berba as I can’t remember why I filtered you in the first place. Fresh start? 🤝

If I recall he called you a Piers Morgan fan Aussie that wets the bed in a cretinous way.

I've got my orders from Woke Mob headquarters and we're going after Antony now. You should be less ambivalent this time, Tomatoes!
