United made us look well run today

... and that really is saying something!

After the appalling end of season and summer we've had and the way United played last season you'd have expected them on paper to have us on toast today. I said before the game today that Brentford were far stronger than United and that United looked garbage.

And indeed, their players looked like they'd spent all summer eating ice cream and watching re-runs of love island.

Now we may well have gotten lucky with our new gaffer, early signs look good at least for a solid top 8 finish.

But of all the things that a club can't get right, lacking match fitness at the start of the season must be the most ridiculous. How can a club the size of United get that wrong? If I didn't know better I'd say the Glazer's had done this deliberately so that their fans cry out for an oil regime to come and rescue them.

Spurs played very well. United couldn't keep up with their passing, which as someone said, I haven't really seen from Spurs since Poch.

Thank you Spurs. After years of watching this fixture in the hope of a good laugh at United, you finally delivered. Crazy game, but very entertaining. Manager is a likeable chap too.

Didn't Spurs win 6-1 at Old Trafford just a couple of seasons back?

This fixture- i.e. your home game. The one you ought to fecking win a bit more.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Well Spurs always beat Man City at home. Have your lot even scored at the new ground. We have your lot on toast every season.

We have had 2 PL games and already we have seen the officials refuse to give 2 penalties against Penited, one for Wolves and one for Spurs when Romero was felled.

We have also seen Varpool gifted an undeserved penalty after a Szoboszlai dive under miniscule contact, with the game evenly poised at 1-1.

It is safe to say the red shirt bias is predictably already in full swing and there for all to see.

Billy, that penalty given to Liverpool was a complete joke. He never even touched the player, who dived to the ground. HTF did VAR not pick that up?

That’s just an aspect of Spursiness. You take points of us, then drop them to relegation zone teams. But we struggle through anyway.

Also the way Spurs now play the game I would suggest means we're much less likely to take points off City.

Previously we just bored them into dropping points to us....

What a save by Romero. Probably better than Suarez save in the world cup.

That person responsible for VAR denied us 2 penalties at home to Newcastle United last season and got demoted as a result.
