Foden

Sensational. Ran through the barcode midfield like they weren’t there. Only idea they had to stop him was to foul him. Some justice when Joelinton injured himself doing just that. We knew Foden is talented but that was just at a different level. I expected him to play wide, but please Pep keep him in the middle.

Magnificant last night.

I was worried how threadbare our 'massive' squad looked before the match, Foden just took the game by the scruff of the neck.

He was magnificent, I lost count of the number of fouls Newcastle made on him. It was the role he originally came into the team to do so really pleased for him.

Very slack refereeing last night, Gordon should have been off.

Great performance, a joy to watch in this role.

Very impressed with our energy levels considering late night Wednesday.

And what about Kova, the guy just glides through finding space like dave of the past, looks a great fit for us.

The midfield has been where City have been better than their rivals like Liverpool and miles better than mid table teams like Spurs. Over a season, it is the midfield that really makes the difference and hopefully Kov can play the box to box role and Foden the Merlin type game.

Yeah well according to the likes of Shandy and Winston, Foden was wasted on the bench in his formative years. Fraudiola didn't know what he was doing.

Sandy is just a wum, what he really knows about football could be written on a postage stamp. He blows hot and cold on any subject and filters anybody that calls him out.

Midfield dominance is key to Pep's schemes and Foden will hopefully be the dominant English No 10 of his generation.
