Well done to West Ham, they took their chances.
Mixed bag for the new squad, understandably it's going to take time for the team to get its rhythm, but despite that this side must get clinical with its finishing. Points lost against softer opposition ( no disrespect to W/H) in the first couple of months will haunt us next May.
An out and out goal scorer would be a massive help, but that is easier said than done:
We do have a reasonably easier run of 6 games coming up, until we face AFC 21/10/ at Stamford bridge.
Luton, Forrest, Bournmouth, Villa, Fulham , Burnley:
Looking at it , this is an ideal run of games for the squad to develop its cohesion, but they have to be more clinical, build confidence & take their chances, when they come and nick the points.
COY Blues, KTBFFH
Three points lost:

You didn't mention a very slow and lackadaisical display by the Chelsea defense !

Chelsea don’t have a single problem that another £1bn spread over a millennium won’t fix

Yes, the current strategy is to throw money at it, combined with a very competent manager , a new squad and sporting directors who are very able.
Like all things, it will need patience

Building a bran new squad and having a new manager will definitely require patience.
It is a very difficult situation to manage this season will be seen as work in progress.
Chelsea have a talented squad but coming against teams that have been together for a while would level the playing field.
