I think Newcastle have looked superb in the two matches so far, but I am expecting a good game from us and for us to make a statement and take the 3 points! Why, you may ask...after all away at Newcastle is a tough gig these days.
Well it's a solid start from us, add in the macca red card overturned and the return of Bajcetic with the addition of Endo, all of a sudden we have more options and that's without Thiago and Curtis (who "may" be fit for Newcastle).
Newcastle are all front foot football and pour forward esp at home, they like to start fast....and that leaves them open for our forwards to get in behind. The likes of Diaz and Salah I think will see a lot of the ball, the mf now will be more secure and hopefully block those holes.
Defensively I think we are ok, not back to our best but getting better...let's not forget we play the offside and Bournemouth disallowed goal was due to the offside drilling....its a positive not a negative.
VVD looks better, as does Robertson. Our goals against were poor, a mistake from TAA and a lucky break of the ball and a hopeful chillwell chip back into the box, they were not due to being opened up or lack of cover.
We have good options all over now; add the above into the mix and that's why I'm quite optimistic going into the game, oh.....and....a nice 7 days to prepare always helps
Newcastle away..I'm very optimistic!

Endo with a weeks training will slot in and solidify the back 4. Our front players will destroys the magpies rear guard.
0-4 to the red men

Before Mac Allisters red card was rescinded, I thought definite loss. Now it has been rescinded, I’m more confident we can get a draw, but we’ve seen how lethal Newcastle are when playing against a high line(Villa)!!
Their energy and intensity in pressing with the fans atmosphere, probably be our toughest away game all season. Take a draw all day long.
Endo’s got a massive job on his hands holding that midfield and attack together but let’s see what happens.

There's some great match ups in this game.
Joelinton - Guimaraes - Tonali
Vs
Endo - Mac Allister - Szoboslai
Should be great.
They're not the quickest at the back, so if we can score first it'll help massively.

Yeah I think their back line is susceptible to pace, the roar of the home crowd will push them on and on, leaving space for our counter.
Think we will score a few goals....if VVD and Konate are on their game should be tight through the middle defence, TAA HAS to be switched on for this...not like Vs cherries.

Except GB is often right. Because we win stuff. Spurs don't.

Hard one to call. Depends if Liverpool turn up. Newcastle definitely will. They are dirty feckers though. Expect a physical game.

This. Time wasting and dirt in the tackle is their MO this past year. Can see a red in this one.
