I guess you could argue no-one doing well at United will leave, unless for Real Madrid, so you are unlikely to get big money transfers out.

But, like Arsenal, it is probably because of players wages and no-one will take them on plus a big transfer fee.

Yeah, this - its a bit of both. Off the top of my head, the only player we've sold in my lifetime who the club absolutely did not want to let go of is Ronaldo. It follows that we never really sell from a position of strength in the first place.

Aren't Utd ranked near the top for academy players being sold though

Not sure but yeah we do produce our fair share of players.

There's 2 aspects to this.

1. We rarely sell players we want to keep. Ronaldo is the only example I can think of and that was world record at the time.

2. We pay players far too much. It makes them difficult to offload as we are seeing again this summer. Why give Brandon Williams 65k a week or Dean Henderson 100k a week to stay? Why give Maguire 190k or Sancho 300k per week to join? Why more than double Bruno's wages when he had 4 years left on his previous deal?

The club is ran terribly.

We don't get near what we've paid for most players, we have sold some decent players over the years but all seem to go really cheap. I don't understand where you get the "good money" sales from

Decent players not our top players. Usually decent players that are paid too much.
