Beating Sheffield United always feels good, even if the overall performance wasn’t the most convincing.
Hopefully Aina and Niakhate are fit enough to start, as McKenna and Williams both had poor games imo.
The transfer window is getting ever closer to slamming shut. I’ll post an article about FFP in the comments, but as far as I can tell there is no need to sell Johnson, with us having around 20m left to be amortised this season.
Player sales would boost this figure considerably and rumours of Freuler, O’Brien and Shelvey having interest could see that figure rise. Clear all the dead wood out and we could afford Henderson, Nelson, Jakobs, Dominguez, Sangare and Beto.
Man United aren’t playing their best football so far this season. Casimiro looks to have aged overnight. Mount didn’t look much better. Wolves should have beaten them and Spurs made it look fairly easy. The time to play them is now, so hopefully we fare better than our 4 losses last season.
Montiel was a nice surprise, although it’s an area we are heavily stocked in. Will Aurier head to SA, will Williams merge into a winger, or continue at LWB? Either way, I think it’s too soon for Montiel.

Two or three times we could have been clean through with a better ball, especially the Danilo one early in the second half. We’ve actually done pretty well to lose this game.

You may be able to beat Utd, but not the officials and VAR. So one sided it’s unbelievable. NEVER, EVER, was that a penalty.

Agree we got beat 5-0 at Arsenal last season, slightly unlucky to lose 2-1 this, and 3-0 at Utd last season compared 3-2 this season, definite improvement but still a little naive, and I’ll say it again, that was NEVER an penalty, not accusing Rashford of cheating, just the officials of not doing their job properly, check the monitor and see who’s leg changes direction to commit the foul, you’ll find Danilo’s leg remains planted, Rashford inititiates the contact. Ref buys it hook line and sinker.

Listened to the game today. Certainly sounds like we went for it and caused them problems. Having watched the penalty on youtube its a clear dive and VAR need to be held accountable for why they did not review (even BBC Five Live was saying it was a dive). Likewise for the shove on Boly that was not awarded. Just goes to show that there are still a far to many elements of unconcious bias towards certain teams.

Just watched on MOTD that's never a penalty in a frickin million years and the player who scored the second was miles offside in the first phase of the play.
Those two hand shufflin excuses for pundits need sacking. The red needs to overturned especially as United achieved exactly that this week for a dangerous both feet off the ground tackle.
