Naming rights

Why not?

What's the problem?

Millions of extra revenue going begging every year that could spent on the squad.

It's a multi use venue that should be attracting serious bidders galore.

We can only assume Levy is being greedy, who'd have thought eh.

Spurs is easily the best stadium in England, hands down.

It’s a joke of a stadium likened to a toilet bowl that is home to a soccer team that has 0 success, 0 global appeal and is often ridiculed as the joke/banter club of the league.

Why would any serious investor want to put their company on that?

How many times have you been to our ground?

I’m guessing none

I’ve spoken to many fans of opposition teams and they’ve all loved it.

How apt you’ve got Div and member in your username

I was quite amused by the 'High Reputation' bit myself hf!

If you didn’t like the stadium it’s fine

Thanks for putting money into our club anyway

I did ask you how many times you’ve been to our ground?

You failed to answer the question.

If we were just playing football in it then it would be easy. We'd just sell to the highest bidder but we're not. It has to be an attractive proposition to anyone hoping to rent it for a gig. It's the same as a hotel being deliberately generic in its appearance to please as many people as possible. If we changed it to the BetFred Arena, or something like that, imagine the business we'd lose.

The irony is that we've gone to all this effort to create more revenue yet by creating a one size fits all stadium we've cut off the stadium naming rights revenue stream. That's a big chunk of money up in smoke.

It's been 4 years since it opened. Didn't we assign someone at the club the task of getting a deal over the line? He needs sacking. He's literally done nothing.

Stadium sponsorship are long term. You lock yourself in financially and brandi wise. The stadium becomes the sponsors name. It has to sit comfortably on many sponsorship levels and well with fans and other stakeholders. Liverpool were going to brand theirs to pay for it but didn't in the end.

It's a case of getting it right, with the right partner at the right time. Not just getting it done ASAP, and they are notoriously difficult to secure.

I'm pretty sure betting company sponsorships are outlawed now.

Those international events (NFL in particular) have a lot of value for brands looking to market themselves in the States. Like Tottenham Hotspur. Whatever $ value a company might put on having their name on the stadium is coming to us right now.

If someone was actually hired to do that one thing whoever decided that and hired them needs sacking.

Its not the easiest and your reputation hinges on the brand as well. Look at the Lakers changing from the Staples Arena to Crypto.com which is already looking like a poor sponsor.

Even our American namesake went without naming rights until very recently. It was the AT&T arena for the longest time and now changing to the Frost Bank Center.
