PETERBOROUGH UNITED v DERBY COUNTY League1 #5 |
1500 Weston Home Stadium, Peterborough, Saturday 26th August 2023 |
A much needed morale boosting victory on Saturday v Fleetwood means we go into this weekend with a 100% record in the last one game. It wasn't pretty and it's definitely a WIP but the relief at the final whistle was palpable. Special mention to Liam Thompson.
I fear for the postings on this MT on Saturday - our more erudite (?) posters are all attending with the Venga/Brexit Bus departing Merseyside with a pickup by the Bonnie Prince at some unearthly hour. Good luck .
I, alas have turned down the offer of the Venga Bus and will be running down to Peterborough.
So, can I ask if you more sensible posters (Ang will also be there), to keep us ticking over
New signings have abounded this week -which worries me 'cos I have ony just been able to identify Washington on the field of play and a map. Hopefully these signings can make a difference - I can just see this league will be a b****r to get out of.
Peterborough seem to be one of those teams who find it difficult to score but have scraped a couple of 1-0s which will probaly mean Saturday's game will peter (boro) out to 0-0 bore draw
Team news:- Wildsmith (GK), Forsyth, Hourihane (C), Cashin, Waghorn, Mendez-Laing, Smith, Washington, Thompson, Rooney Nelson. |
