Peterborough United 2 - 4 Derby County

PETERBOROUGH UNITED v DERBY COUNTY League1 #5

1500 Weston Home Stadium, Peterborough, Saturday 26th August 2023

A much needed morale boosting victory on Saturday v Fleetwood means we go into this weekend with a 100% record in the last one game. It wasn't pretty and it's definitely a WIP but the relief at the final whistle was palpable. Special mention to Liam Thompson.

I fear for the postings on this MT on Saturday - our more erudite (?) posters are all attending with the Venga/Brexit Bus departing Merseyside with a pickup by the Bonnie Prince at some unearthly hour. Good luck .

I, alas have turned down the offer of the Venga Bus and will be running down to Peterborough.

So, can I ask if you more sensible posters (Ang will also be there), to keep us ticking over

New signings have abounded this week -which worries me 'cos I have ony just been able to identify Washington on the field of play and a map. Hopefully these signings can make a difference - I can just see this league will be a b****r to get out of.

Peterborough seem to be one of those teams who find it difficult to score but have scraped a couple of 1-0s which will probaly mean Saturday's game will peter (boro) out to 0-0 bore draw

Team news:- Wildsmith (GK), Forsyth, Hourihane (C), Cashin, Waghorn, Mendez-Laing, Smith, Washington, Thompson, Rooney Nelson.

Subs:- Vickers (GK), Bradley, Collins, John-Jules, Elder, Fornah, Radcliffe.

Are you referring to transfer news or the Crofting Committee AGM. Both completely enthralling.........

Liverpool youngster Bobby Clark is closing in on a loan move to Derby County.
Clark has impressed over pre-season, underlining the potential that has seen Jurgen Klopp call him a ‘very interesting’ prospect [liverpoolfc.com].

You are not wrong Vidal
Derby County's hopes of signing Bobby Clark from Liverpool have been dashed as the 18-year-old is set to stay at Anfield.
Clark, who can play in midfield as well as across the forward line, has impressed with his performances for Liverpool's U18s and U23s.
Although missing out on Clark is a blow for Derby, they still have time to pursue other targets and may have another chance to sign him in January.

Sunderland have agreed to loan midfielder Elliot Embleton to League One side Derby County,

That's strange UT as Mowbray has just said he is part of his plans and would only go out on loan if two incomings could be secured first. He added that things could change in January.

Evening all,

Back in the UK after a fantastic family holiday. Hoping to see a few more additions before the closure of the transfer window. Will Vaulks would be a personal favourite, not sure how likely given Embleton has or is due to sign.
