Big challenge today and big calls from Farke to start with Gnonto, Sinisterra and Piroe.
All make sense, if Piroe fit and ready, we're desperate for a striker. Sinisterrra quality and Gnonto, bring him back in away from home.
Assuming James has picked up a knock as he was start of show last week.
Leeds usual, go behind early, but front four look really lively and Rutter, shrugs off challenges and lunges the ball in to draw us level and could that be the goal that is catalysts for his fortunes at Leeds?
Very open game sees great cross in from Byram and Gnonto nip in past sleeping defender.....1-2 Leeds!
And then the value of the striker, absolutely brilliant cross field ball a la Pablo from Archie Gray I think it was, shot from Sinisterra, loose ball, 6 yard box and Piroe with a debut goal, it couldn't be any more fairytale:
Rutter scores
Gnonto redemption goal
Piroe debut goal
Byram has been good value this season and great for assist last week and today but then has to go off injured so a chance for Drameh, albeit at left back.
But Drameh has a bit of a mare and lets Ipswich back into it, despite Meslier playing well this half it's now 2-3.
We haven't been playing badly, its just an open game, Ampadu and Gray doing ok, front 4 causing all sorts of problems, but our back line is easily bypassed and we've had to be thankful to Rodon at times despite the first Ipswich goal.
Second half sees another big call from Farke and he subs teh sub, Drameh off for Shckleton and he equips himself well at left back, always energetic, loves getting forward.
Ampadu goes to ground a bit always clutching something, but when he's not, he's being progressive, moving ball forward quickly, nothing special but the second half was one of best phases of his I think.
Gray was relatively quiet apart from that brilliant pass for the Piroe goal.
Its the front 4 that are making this game though, a lot of threat there and despite being a bit subdued for a while as Ipswich seemed to keep coming forward, there was no cutting edge from Ipswich and now Sinisterra grabs a goal, another redemption goal for a player who's been isolated.
One wonder what our results might have been in previous matches if we'd had Piroe but also Gnonto and Sinisterra available as we've gone from looking unlikely to score to being able to score at will.
Rutter is playing a part, getting more possessions, running with ball, astute passes, this is good stuff from Leeds.
Cresswell and Gyabi come on for a few minutes apiece and not enough time to make an impact, but we manage to concede on more in the added on time on top of added on time and it ends 3-4.
Great management from Farke, strong performances going forwards, really fragile at the back though and new signing that could really make a difference.
Hope Byram is ok, he's had good start to season.

Piroe is a gamechanger
Having a proper striker allows the team to take shape and pressurised defenders to free up space

Just seen a stat posted that Sini made 32 passes and completed all of them. 100% pass accuracy 👌

Ref was a Huddersfield town fan from Ossett. My mate knows him. He used to play for Ossett Town youth team with him..

Just to add some news from elsewhere:
Sevilla lose again, that's 3 out of 3 bottom of table
Aarosnson sent off after 20 mins for second yellow
Rasmus and Llorente both subbed at halftime.
Wober's Mochengladbach lose 3-0 at home
Let's hope there are no early return clauses I think we're better off without all of them!

Personally, would be hugely surprised if Sinisterra is with us next week at this time. He’s no where near a championship player. Ridiculous quality when he’s fit and on it

Roca is playing well. Only decent one. I think Farke would get a tune out of him. Wasn't suited to the style of play under previous managers

Thought he played well through the centre of the pitch, one pass just before their goal that split their defence that eventually led to a pass to an offside Rutter which was just sublime. Great signing.

The way Rutter held off 4/5 of their players and wriggled through for the goal was real class👍
