I am asking the question if there is a bloodline connection between them because for the life of me I can't see why Havertz was bought for £65m & is now playing in the first team.
After Havertz's generally atrocious time at Chelsea (struggled to hit a barn door) I was incredulous when Arteta bought him but people kept telling me:
"Arteta will find a new role for him & make him great, you'll see."
Well I've watched him twice at The Grove & twice on TV & I have seen - & he's STILL lower mediocre at best.
He doesn't have a great shot, he is not clinical in front of goal, he's not quick, his pass is average, his ability to see a pass is average, he's not great in the air, his tackle is average, his defending is below average & his body language is sh$t.
WHAT DOES HE DO FOR US?
People says he runs a lot, well so did Mesut Ozil - to no effect. He reminds me of Mesut Ozil without the exceptional vision.
He's the new Denilson without the shot...
When he came off we were so much better.
I hope he 'comes good' & I have to eat humble pie because I am an Arsenal supporter & the team is my priority but so far I think we have wasted £65m & two points...
Mikel/Kai related? Answers on a postcard...

Havertz is the new Willian

It honestly seems to me like after having our fingers burnt so many times by Chelsea we wanted to finally get some revenge by taking a player from them, making it work, making him a star and proving everyone wrong.
Only thing is, even if it worked, which is looking very doubtful at the moment, it still doesn't undo all the trash we've signed from their bins.
On top of that, we seem to have overpaid for him in the first place. If we'd got him for £35-£45m I could accept it as more of a punt and be more patient about it but £65m+!?!?!?
Theoretically, he should be able to do the offensive part of what Xhaka was doing last season, better than Xhaka, given that he's naturally a more attacking player. But he seems to lack the edge/desire Xhaka had for us.
I want to see him busting a nut, if your end product isn't there then you can at least get the fans on your side by working your bollox off and that will help play you in to form as well.
Like many of you, as soon as I saw this one in the news I dreaded it coming true and of course, like usual with those, it did.
Hope he comes good, I really do.

Willian hugely superior in every way

Willian for Arsenal was honestly one of the worst players I’ve seen at emirates.
Let’s not be too quick on Havertz, Arteta’s system is complicated. It took some City players a season to adjust to Pep’s.

So do we bin the season and consider it an adjustment period?

Every man and his dog bar Arteta knew it was a shiete signing, baffling what Arsenal paid.
£200m spent this summer for one starter, Raya and Havertz will live on the bench.

Raya would rather be on the bench for us than play for you, I don't think it is quite the insult you thought it is
Woe is me, we have quality squad players
