And the referee bottles sending off Trent Alexander Arnold for a clear second yellow card v Newcastle.
A gifted penalty for a dive last week and another massive leg up from the officials again this week.
The 13 men of Varpool is in full swing once again, some things never change.
There will probably be a dodgy penalty heading Varpool`s way later in the game.
Disgusting favouritism.

TAA should have been sent off after 5 mins, which would have changed the entire dynamic of the game

You seriously want a player to be sent off for them 2 incidents. let me guess Kane on Robertson was never a red card? bollox to the spods

I think most fans just want consistency. Tomiyasu was sent off for similar two incidents, and his second was softer than TAA's second (without even mentioning Ayew getting away with a blatant second yellow before Tomi went).
Same with handball, how did City get a penalty today compared to United for Romero or Liverpool for Jackson, or Arsenal twice against Newcastle last season.

Kane on Robertson was a nailed on red card. The officials got it wrong. What's the relevance?

Newcastle are like Spurs under Pochettino. Promise a lot, deliver nothing. Mentally weak.

Made us look pretty stupid last season!!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We were 4th at the point Conte walked, our league season wasn’t terrible on paper despite the turgid performances and pathetic cup exits. But after he walked we went into freefall under the hapless Stellini and Mason, which is why we finished 8th.
Newcastle were in great form when we met them, and Stellini chose that day to try a back 4 which included Eric Dier. Predictably it was a facking disaster, but we are in a much better place now and with no European football to worry about (unlike Villa, Newcastle, Brighton and West Ham) we can have a very serious crack at the CL spots this season provided we find a competent striker to replace clown shoes Richarlison.

best thing we did last season was to finish 8th.
I think a few seasons ago Chelsea had no Europe and went on to win the PL!! Not suggesting for one moment that we will emulate that feat (esp with Pep’s City in the way) but much easier to push for a top 4 spot 👍

That doesn't make any sense at all. Your basically saying it's good Spurs didn't finish in a European qualifying position as it means we are now more likely to finish in a European place. So all in for the European yo-yo then.

I think you misread his comment mate.

Did I? It seems to me (and please correct me if I'm wrong) that it's OK to do badly for a season, because that means you will potentially do better the following season.
Now that may even be true, but it's not exactly the modus operandi of a "big club".

He specified a CL spot whereas you were referencing European qualification in general. So his meaning was that it might be beneficial to not be in Europe at all if it helps trying to get into the CL the following season.
