last night`s shambolic display. A few words first of all about the match, and the elementary mistakes made by the manager. Ange has had nothing but praise since he arrived at the club, and rightly so. But last night he had an absolute mare.
1. He picked the wrong starting XI, should never have rested 9 players.
2. He should have hooked at least three, possibly four, off at half time, and that would have included the whole of the midfield, who were absolute shambolic.
3. Having not changed much at the interval, he then left it far to late to bring on Maddison to try to swing the game in Spurs favour.
4. He took off the goalscorer, when the game was still in the balance.
5. How did Sanchez get to take a penalty before Maddison? I doubt he has ever taken a penalty in his life.
Hopefully he would have learnt a lot about the squad last night, and won`t make the same mistakes when the FA Cup starts in January.
Looking forward though now, it is painfully obvious that the squad, outside the 1st XI is not very good, and hasn`t been for a number of years. Even in the Poch year`s with the nailed on XI of Lloris, Toby, Verts, Eriksen, Son and Kane etc, there wasn`t a lot to bring in, so this isn`t really anything new.
With only Prem games though until the New Year, then the squad in theory should not really be needed. The team is going to be picked from these 14 players for the next dozen matches or so, providing no new bodies come in
Vicario
Porro
Emerson
Romero
MickyVan
Udogie
Bentancur
Sarr
Bissouma
Maddison
Kulu
Solomon
Son
Richarlison
I think they are the only ones I would currently trust, and one game a week, should get away with it. I think PEH wants out, Sanchez only to be used out of absolute necessity, Davies is like Dier, been around far to long. Skipp simply not up to it. All three need moving on.
Others like Tanganga, Sessignon, Ndombele, Lo Celso will get zero game time, and may as well just tear up their contracts, or give them away.
Whilst last night was a disappointment, it is not the end of the world, and if the players I mentioned keep up their high level of play shown so far, then the season may still turn out OK. One game a week should certainly help. Absolutely no need for any rotation now. Just play the best XI, injuries aside.
Anyway we move on now to Burnley at the weekend, and hope last night was just a blip
COYS
Right then, we move on from

Did we just get rejected and outclassed by Brighton for Fati. Everyone hates levy

Sad times. Levy out.

Yes wtf really.
Johnson > Fati
Ermm ok!!!!
Rubbish scouts and transfer committee as usual.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I haven’t seen Fati play. Is he any good, better than Johnson (who I rate)?
Apparently he’s quite injury prone too.

Right now his head is down as is his confidence. We need to see if he is capable of lifting his form and output before writing off a 60m investment. He hasn't been given much chance in the team in the last 12 months so 3 games in is hardly enough.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I hear you but as I said, I'm basing my opinion on what I've seen of him at Everton before also, as I say, I just don't believe he's any good.
Christ though, believe me I want to be proven wrong and hope I am!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You won’t be proven wrong, he’s an absolutely bang average player with no outstanding quality - not a pace merchant, not technically gifted, not creative and is a weak finisher. He will be lucky to get double figures in the PL. Top quality forwards never go 33 league games with only 1 goal even when they lose a bit of form - only Maupay at Everton has worse stats than Richarlison currently. Waiting for him to materialise into some sort of competent replacement for Kane is a fools errand, it’s not gonna happen, he should be squad fodder only and we should be moving heaven and earth to get a decent forward in.

So glad I haven't got to see Kane not scoring until September, What a nightmare that would be!

We need a CB so badly or Ange needs to bute the bullet and promote Phillips and Dorrington. I don't care how young they are at this stage. We are desperate not to see Sanchez or Dier play
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Dier agree with, but Ange likes Sanchez, and despite his missed penalty, he was probably Spurs best player midweek. I am not going against Ange. He is OK as backup. You ain't going to get a quality CB anyway who will just sit on the bench.

I suspect Fati is another overhyped youngster, so hardly missing out. Why are none of the big clubs after him, if he is so good?

Clubs a joke, we can’t even compete with Brighton for transfers anymore.
Does anyone remember what a game changer the stadium was going to be - we can’t even get any khunt to sponsor the faaaacking thing.
This is the biggest problem with the bald faaaack wit, there is no strategy, where that is most evident is in the transfer market. We will hugely overpay for Brennan Johnson or will walk away and sign no one. Where’s targets B, C , D etc. why have we left it so late - it not like we shifted any significant player in the last couple of weeks - just Spence. Why do we have an £11m net spend in a year we’ve sold a generational player yet Chelsea is nearly at half a billion and teams like Villa are outspending us.
It’s broke, it’s because of Levy, the Levy apologists need to faaaacking wake up now before our main rivals become Crystal Palace
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You haven't got a clue what goes on behind closed doors. This isn't fantasy football, where you purchase every player that moves.
You dramatise everything.

Where did you get those stats from?
Last season he had 36 appearances for Barca and scored 7 in the league. 51 apps through the season managing 10 goals, in a team that won the league, not a team that narrowly dodged relegation from the PL.
To me Fati is just like Joao Felix at AM, stats are weak in a decent team, comes to the PL and flatters to deceive, some nice touches but lightweight and little output. There is nothing to suggest that Fati will achieve better output in the PL.
Diogo Jota had similar stats to Johnson at Wolves, and stepped up at LFC. at £50m i think BJ is too expensive but he is 22, he is pretty rapid, and can play centrally or wide. I would not be too disappointed with a young player who has proven he can perform in the PL rather than an untried and untested player from a different league, like Fati, or a weak league, like Orban....We've seen enough Soldaduds, Jensens etc to know that taking from these leagues guarantees little.

So Fati is now flavour of the week, last week it was Mitoma. Seriously so may names get bandied around, and it seems Spurs have to buy them all.
