Looks like it's done deal.
I hope he proves me wrong and absolutely smashes it.
The current Welsh superstar.
I still doubt he will have a career like Gareth Bale, but even if he hits the heights of a Craig Bellamy that would be great.

Time to call it a day. All of these failed deals will be revisited in January.

It all looks very meh but we have to try and reassure ourselves that Ange wanted him. Better for the manager to get the players he wants if we believe he is the right manager.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I really hope this isn't another case of a Spurs manager getting his 3rd or 4th choice of player for a given position.
There's been some criticism of Richarlison's Everton stats recently but they are actually pretty good. About 1 goal in 3 playing mostly on the wing.
Johnson's are vastly inferior. I know he's still fairly young but his numbers from the championship are average. You'd hope that a highly promising player would be tearing it up in the Championship.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He may not have been Ange's initial choice but by all accounts he rates Johnson and wants him. I'm not sure we have been linked to enough players of this type to really say he is 3rd of 4th choice anyway?
His stats don't look great but maybe we can coax more out of him in this system and he's still young enough that his form could suddenly catapult as he heads towards his peak years. Some are late bloomers.

I’m with The Hezzman on all of this.
Just really hoping it works out.
Kulu isn’t cutting it at all so maybe the competition will help.
I just get the feeling it will be another “we spend the money it just didn’t work out” signing - really hope this isn’t the case.
The one thing that doesn’t ring true about him being an Ange target is why would it take until the last 10 days to start going after your No.1 target?
Fingers crossed the lad can step up because we need him to improve and develop.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Deki a goal and an assist so far......just aint cutting itget rid.
Knowing the way Levy works:
1. NF probably wanted 50m and our interest will have unsettled the player a bit and so their price softens a bit, probably saving us £5m
2. We havent had to pay BJ wages for those 10 days so probably £200k saved there tooIm convinced thats why Levy loves late deals, saves millions on wages over the summer...every little helps
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Mate Deki has been stealing a living since last season.
The guy has looked like a 1 trick pony and horrendous end product for a long time.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He only scored 2 goals in 30 last season, he has 1 in 3 already this season playing in a more attacking team. Probably best not to write him off so soon.
I'm happy to see Johnson compete with Richarlison if he can play anywhere across the front.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Problem with Kulu is lack of pace and not being able to ask questions of a full-back.
Something presumably Johnson will be better at.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Only a one year age gap. Only thing Johnson has on Kulu is pace which is always nice in peoples eyes but also be useless. Kulu needs to be told to use that right foot it is actually quite decent when Ive seen him use it. Like most left footed players they tend be very left footed.

Kulu did used to ask questions of the full backs in his first season. We're still waiting for him to get back to that sort of form again. At least we know he has it in his locker. But as far as Johnson goes maybe Ange will alternate depending on the opposition or what a game needs at a certain point. While Johnson's stats aren't brilliant his pace is still an exciting aspect of his game. I just hope he doesn't turn into a Dan James or Adama Traore.

Having not seen much of Johnson at Forest I'll give him a chance here before judging how rubbish he is. But maybe he is best served on the wing to exploit his pace. We can always just put Son in place of Richarlison.

I think our team is crying out for us to try Son as a striker instead of a winger. He always did well there when Kane got his annual ankle injury. If he's lost a bit of pace but can still finish he'll be more use as striker.

Its a typical Spurs signing..Pray to God he hits the ground running but not really convinced of this.
He has always seemed to do ok when I have seen him play but mainly due to his use of pace which is not a bad thing but some tekkers also for that fee wont go a miss! Time will tell.
